Change in the Buddy List

I believe people shouldn't be able to place you on their buddy list without your permission. You can put anybody you want on your buddy list without their permission, just to see what characters they use and so on. I think of it as an invasion of your privacy. If somebody puts you on their buddy list, there should be a confirmation on your side that says, 'yes, you're allowing this person to be your "buddy" on their list.

I think saying "Invasion of privacy" is going a bit too far. I agree with the general idea of what you're suggesting, here. I think there could be many improvements to the 'buddy list', or rather the Friends/Ignore list.
I can understand server space issues when it comes to the number of friends and ignored players you could have, so I'm not going there (unless they want to). But I think we all need a good 'blanket' facelift of the entire Friends/Ignore/Guild/Party interface, ya know, considering that's what this game is supposed to be all about.
What the developers need to do is figure out exactly where their niche is among all the other games out there (besides 'no-monthly-fee-CORPG'), and perfect it. I think their niche is in player-to-player relations, be it PvP or teaming in PvE, so they should really make that aspect the best there is in the market. That way when perspective P2P players are shopping for their next game addiction, they'll find out that GW is the best there is in that department.
So far, that isn't necessarily the case. Right now, GW is just simply a 'no-monthly-fee-CORPG'.
