How does the ordinary SS nuker look like?

As the title sais, which skills are the core of this build and which are a nice addition to it?

Also, how should the attributes be divided?

Cheers

Spiteful Spirit, Arcane Echo, Defile and/or Desecrate Enchantments, Awaken the Blood. Res Signet.
Leaves 2 or 3 open slots. I usually equip both Des. & Defile Enchant. and bring Spinal Shivers as an interrupt. If I'm playing with a live monk I bring Blood Ritual to give them an energy boost. Otherwise it depends on what I'm facing...mostly warriors I'll bring Sympathetic Visage. If I need a cover hex I bring Reckless Haste.

Sec. is Mesmer for the Arcane Echo on SS.

I use the +energy armor and a wand/focus combo w/20/20 cast/recharge mods on both and +12e on the focus. Gives me an approx. 36% chance at faster cast/recharge and 49 energy w/4 pips of regen (which I prefer over the +15/-1 foci for when you get in long fights w/boss or high level monsters).

Curses 16
Soul Reaping 9ish
Blood 10ish
Rest depends on what you want to do...Blood Rit...max out Blood...SV? put the rest in Illusion (I think that's the one). Mes. Interrupts...Domination.

The above has worked pretty well for me but I'm not Necro expert by a long shot. I'm sure others here will have even better recommendations.

Have fun...it's a great build that's not as labor intensive as the MM.

Reckless Haste is just good anyway because it pumps up the SS damage on attackers.

You can bring Inspiration magic stuff as well, like Power Drain and Inspired Enchant/Hex. I like Well of Suffering a lot as well, from the Death line. If you're going Blood may as well bring Well of Blood, probably over Awaken the Blood IMO. But all the SS builds are pretty similar really.

My SS build personally wipes the faces of everything

16 Curses
11 Soul Reaping
9 Blood

Awaken the Blood
Desecrate Enchantments
Defile Enchantments
Enfeeble
Parasitic Bond
Spiteful Spirit (e)
Reckless Haste
Res Signet

Awaken the Blood is important for Desecrate/Defile Enchantments, since those two spells gain a ridicolous boost in power.

If you want to use Arcane Echo, swap out one of the Desecrate/Defile

im with glen campbell, i like the inspiration line. especially if i'm using arcane echo.

AC
SS
reckless haste
p bond
inspired hex
power drain
leech sig
res

but the core is SS and reckless haste or arcan echo, SS, reckless haste imo. anything else is up to you. i never saw the use of removing enchantments in pve if the target would be dead in the next few moments anyway. i'd much rather interrupt and power drain is a great skill. leech sig is for troll and other non spells.

The inspiration line does work well, but it really all depends on whether or not you are playing with monks who want you to bring BR. Usually my SS build with Inspiration Magic looks something like this:

16 Curses
11 Inspiration
5 Soul Reaping

Spiteful Spirit
Spinal Shivers
Arcane Echo
Mark of Pain
Ether Signet
Desecrate Enchantments
Res sig
Leech Signet (Parasitic Bond)

This would be the build to use if you want to make sure that you will have the energy to keep casting spells without having to wait for a foe to die, which can usually be accomplished with only Ether Sig, hence Leech sig being replaceable by Parasitic bond.

But, if you wanted to go the blood magic path, then replace Ether sig with Awaken the Blood, and possibly replace Leech sig with Blood Ritual, and have Blood magic at 12 (11+1).
