Preordering a game means that you have a guaranteed copy of that game when it is released, specifically, on Oct. 27th. For preordering you get an extra character slot and usually some other bonus like weapons for your characters. Last time round we got to start playing a day before release as well. Hope that helps.

well thats what i thought but the pre-order package comes out sept 15 soooo what do i get to take home on sept 15? anything? nothing? is nightfall playable on sept 15? do i have to pick up more stuff oct 27? i already put my money down on the pre-order package at gamestop im confused about the 2 dates.

The preorder box comes out on the 15th of September. It's not the game, but it contains a preorder key to get you your bonus items for preordering. You will still have to go back on the 27th of October to pick up Nightfall when it comes out.

Accounts can't and will not be allowed to merge. Now, if you mean adding cd keys to your current account, adding Nightfall to your account will give you 2 more slots.

guys I preordered before I had a chance to even read the press release: anyone have an idea what the Mini-Character thing is? Like a Miniature Gwen Doll?

Wouldnt it be cool if Gwen was one of your customizable henchmen if you get collector?

My money is on a 'special Henchy' for the in-game CE treat... makes perfect sense, no?

I doubt it will be Gwen, but yeah, like a miniature character from the game, most likely Nightfall specific.

I assume you mean an older Gwen... ok, the more I think about this, this is actually possible. It's being done by the same people who did Prophecy, so they would be the ones to include Gwen. It could tie up some loose ends (hmmm, maybe my Tapestry Shards will come in handy!)

Gwen as a cutomizable henchmen makes perfect sense for Prophecy characters, since you're the one who befriended her, and she would likely remember you. How old is Gwen now anyway? How long has passed since our heroes left pre-searing? (and don't say 2 years, it's been longer than that...)

If you're referring to the old age question of merging a new campaign or keeping it seperate; adding any new campaign to your account will always give you two slots. Using it to make a new account will always give you four slots. In this case; if you get the Nightfall prerelease bonus pack; you will get three slots instead of just two.

Speculation from me says:

With the customizable "heroes" means pitting one players "heroes" against anothers' "heroes".
In other words, sorta like a coach mode in a Madden game... sorta.

Well I was cautious with Factions. I didn't like the write-up, so I waited until the game came out and people posted online about it. I still didn't like the feedback, so I never bothered buying it. Again, I will wait for online feedback on Nightfall before buying. Never believe marketing hype!

Still undecided on whether I will buy a CE. I have yet to buy chp1 or 2 in CE cause I don't think the extras are worth it. Especially the in-game extras.

And like above poster says the Wii may come out in October. I may get it because of the ability to download old classics. I would like a PS3 but I don't think there is anyway my wallet can afford the $600+ hit to it.

I noticed the system requirements listed on EB games. Looks like they're even higher than Factions. Im talking about minimum requirements here btw. Minimum is now 512 MB RAM, and you need a 63 MB vid card at least (previously 32). Then they put the recommended settings up to 1 GB RAM and p4 2 ghz processor (from the previously recommended p3 1ghz processor).

I find this exciting because this implies that its going to look even better! HDR maybe? Probably not but whats not to like about better graphics.

Actually there has been word out that the Wii might get delayed till November.... not sure if I like the whole "hero" idea yet or not.. guess they decided on that after putting in the mini-pets and people wanting them to attack..

I'll probably try to get the CE again because I really like the artbooks...but I'm not too happy that it isn't getting any in-game emotes this time. The contents of this one are worse than Factions...and Factions was pretty bad compared to the original CE.

As long as they don't start coming out with GW shaped vitamins to put in these...

Heroes are henchies. They'll work just like how henchies work right now except with the customizable features added in. An 8 human player party can't add anyone, hero nor player, into an already full 8 player team.

Worse than Factions? Just because of the dragon mini-pet last minute add-on, right?

Because in terms of physical things in the box, it has all the stuff Factions has plus a making of DVD, skill pins (yea!), and the mini-figurine.

I agree, though, it needs some in-game items to close the deal. I'm hoping they haven't decided yet, and will add some before release.

there is absolutely no information from an official source that says the WONT do some kind of special in-game treat.

it would break tradition- although my first guess would be that it has to do with a collector edition-only kind of henchman... which might be amusing at least.... but ill be one to hold my breath for a nice special.

BTW- I want my GW Vitamins!

Just get a new video card and possibly some more ram. That would be way cheaper then buying a whole new computer. BTW I have one that is for total gaming and it didn't cost nearly that much. Check out Dell, they rock!

Kuunavang was not part of the Factions C.E. package originally. It only got added later after people had to wait forever for their delayed Factions C.E. pack. It was a "sorry" kind of gesture to those folks who got it delivered late (though everyone who installed it prior got it too)

If Factions C.E. wasn't delivered late, that dragon probably wouldn't have been in there - so for ingame you'ld have had two dance emotes for certain classes only, which isn't too great especially if the new classes don't appeal or have certain kinds of problems (Assassins specifically, no need to explain why)

From my understanding the Prophecies C.E. sounds like it was the best one to date: global ingame item, for all chars including all future ones. It also had a headset and stuff, though I'm not sure if that was just N. America or worldwide.

You'll have to talk with the store yourself to see if that's possible, but it's not a preorder. It's a "Prerelease Bonus Pack". Buying the prerelease won't garuntee you'll have a copy of the game, like a preorder would.

Also, someone quoted the Gamestop text that said you only get one of the two prerelease weapons. This is not true, as it's been clearly countered on the Guild Wars site.

Since Nightfall's being released around the same time as FFXII, it's going to be a busy period.

But otherwise, Nightfall still sounds awesome! I need to know what new elites my ranger can get his hands on.
