Lag Issues And Error 7's

Ok, this problem started last weekend during the Fun weekend or w/e. The one where you could take ur pvp to aspenwood/quarry. The Lag is unimaginable and the error 7's come close to the amout of times ive lagged. I averaged a total of 10-15 times a day getting an err 7. And now that the weekend is over i am still getting these large lag spikes that like around 30 seconds then i continue to lag after that for another minute. What is going on ANET and plz fill us in here. FIX THE DAM LAGG ISSUE and the ERROR 7'S PLEASE. and if it is an issue on ur end..just fill us in like updating the website maybe. I mean its becoming a hassle just to play the game and its kinda annoying to try to start anything if im just gonna lag out.

And before anyone asks i do have a dsl connection not dial up or anything. And everytime i lag out i open up IE and my net works just fine.

Any comments or personal expierences will be helpful..

It's not just you, the lag spikes are still occurring. One hit me yesterday and several folks on AC complained about it too.

It seems to happen quite often with updates and events. It's not just you hun, it's gotten more and more annoying. I rarely play at all because of them. Heh, try getting to the end of the Deep and having 3 err7s at the same time - then the party leader getting pissed at you in TS, only for him and the rest of the party to err7 just 3mins later as you try to explain its NOT your internet connection!
He was so sure of himself till he got his err7 >_> Oh well he went with us again on a later date, but ugg -_-

I've err7'd out of missions, quests, farming... It's just gotten to be too much for me so I'm not even going to really bother till they put in a reconnect feature.

I hate code=007's....I once got one when my party had the lich at 40% health...I had never completed the game before, so naturally is was really pissed off. If I had known what the ending was, however, I probably wouldn't of cared so much =P

i was doing bonus for THK yesterday - err7 when Dorian already spawned...

Can someone authorized give us a normal answer, why are these err7's occuring? I went for a spider run several times these days and got numerous errors coming from nowhere! And you know that after an hour or so playing in order to get to one single place it just doesn't fell right to get your spider up your... yeah... Do a maintenance or something, but PLEASE FIX THIS!

Meh, I can't even play the game. I haven't been able to since yesterday.

These error 7s are a pain. I dropped about 15k yesterday in UW 2-man farming because I kept lagging/error 7 until I finally gave up. Im getting very tired of it and of Arenanet's slow admittance that there is a problem and even slower fixing of the problem.

All i want to hear is WHEN it's getting fixed.

It seems like the intesity of the err 007's really picked up in the past couple of days. It is so bad that I've even lagged out in town while setting up skills prior to starting a mission. I had about 5 disconnects in the span of half an hour, with most of the time in that half hour frozen in place.

I would also like to hear an official explanation from Anet as to why this is occurring and when it's going to get fixed.

I guess I'll go watch those movies I bought months ago that I haven't gotten around to.

I've never had problems with lag before (and i'm in Australia playing on US servers). The last two or three days however lag spikes have lasted up to 30 or more seconds. Also a few hours ago i had two err 7s in a row which I haven't had for over 6 months. There's definitely something going on.

My wife has been having the lagalot aswell , well actually only in the deep sometimes minutes long of jojoing around all over the place.

Not beeing able to chat or nothing while I am playing somewhere else and not have a single issue.

Now yesterday her and I did a deep run together and we both had it at the same time and with us 3 or 4 other in the group. It is just unreal , but let me restate the deep has been the only place we had this problem nowhere else. and even with 4 people playing(which never is a problem) we don't have any issues with lag reallly so my ISP and bad computers have been ruled out.

Now the one thing we noticed is when the exsessive messaging message pops up it's over no more lag and rarely it comes back then.(this even happens when we are not typing !)

I can also rule out euro server issues as the people having the lag were from china , australia and us then holland.

i was in a party doing fort aspenwood as kurzick, and the luxons got into the last room and my internet pretty much stops. since then i've been having huge lag spike issues, and i'm on a t1 connection so there's no WAY it's my internet. its good to know this isn't just a thing with my computer, hopefully Anet is addressing this.

Glad to know I'm not alone here, really sucks when you can't play for more than 30 minutes without an err=7. Although I may be wrong, it seems to me that I'm getting it more in Echovald more than anywhere else. I think I am starting to get the reputation of a frequent FA quitter! I'm just as excited as the next guy about Nightfall but I wont buy anything if I can't play it.

I was monking for a Riverside group yesterday to get the bonus, lagged out on beach right before reaching graveyard. Talked to a party member later, he said they got it. (Insert hour long obcenity-laced tirade here)

wow its just getting worse and worse, 4 or 5 big spikes so far today. Maybe ANET are having some problems installing new clusters for nightfall?

I just got a double err7 they were not even 15 min apart, but the weird thing is right before I got disconnected my character just froze but the music was still playing and I could still rotate the camera and activate the chat bar, but could not send any messages then after a minute or so I get err7.

yep thats exactly what's happening to me.

Edit: 2 err 7s in the last ten minutes as well.

(I can't see any advisories regarding Southern Cross Cable links between Aus and the US or anything like that, also players from various countries have been saying similar things, so i assume it's on ANET's end).

No matter what Anet might say about checking our connection, I know its at Anet's end because, yesterday, I turned on Lagmeter and played. I had 0% client lag, 5% network lag, and 95% server-side lag. So, its definitely server-side not client-side. Fix it Anet!

Seems most peeps I talked to were on the east coast. Massive lag spikes sometimes error 7's 6 in a row within a 15 minute span. It's not my internet connection I've tested it, my ISP has tested it, no problems and I'm on a T3.

I believe anet has some issues (serious ones) with their servers. And it's making the game practically impossible to play. As someone else said I was looking forward to Nightfall as well but I'm not buying anything I can't play.
