New Nightfall Weekend Event.

With the new release of Nightfall approaching. How about a weekend or week event where you are on the search of a special token. Have a random creature “which will not be disclosed to anyone” have a small chance to drop a special token, or make any creature in the game have a very very small chance to drop a token which can be redeemed for a free game key for the new Nightfall campaign. If by creature the type could change hourly, daily, what have you just to make it random. It will include all areas in both Factions and Prophecies. A-net would set the limit for total drops for the event as well as rules for the event. If you find a token it can not be transferable in the game. The special token could have a special id # and telephone number / email address that the winner could call to get the new game key.

hopefully, Anet will do it like the factions pve preview event, where your account has the access to it for the weekend, and you are given +3 "tickets" that you can email up to 3 friends (or 2 and yourself)

i hope you mean for a free key for the event and not for the full game.

I mean for the full Nightfall game. What the heck if they have millions playing whats few free games.

If every creature in the game would have it

Troll runners 55ers, W/Mos and everyone that does farming alot, ebay or sell them for huge amounts of gold :S

Thats why I metioned it as a total random creature to eliminate farming spots, and a non transferable prize. Have it link to your account when you recieve your token that way you cannot sell it or trade it.

Personally this sounds pointless to me. The last Nightfall preview event will be the pve preview. It should be shortly after the prerelease pack goes on sale. I really don't think they should waste the pve preview looking for some stupid token. Plus then whover won wouldn't get the cool box items.

The trouble is this will only really appeal to current players of the game, it wont make Anet / NCsoft more money in the long run, so I doubt they'd do it.

Maybe if they ran this in Nightfall, and your chara gets free access to Ch4 on release, it could prompt more people to buy Nightfall early, in order to possibly grab a free Ch4
