What drops the Gloom Shield in UW?

If anyone know's could you please tell me. I've done the usual Duo run down there about 30 times now and we kill the smites, aataxes, and coldfires and not a single shield. The chest's have yet to drop one for us also
. So if anyone knows what drops it please let me know Thanks.

I'm not sure how accurate the info about gloom shields is. I have also done loads of UW runs and not seen a single gloom shield.
In the only pic I have seen, the background looked more like kurzick than the UW; although admittedly they do have some similar looking walls/backgrounds. The other thing that makes me wonder is the fact that the only other place I have seen anything 'gloom' related is in FOW, i.e. gloom seeds.
So until I see one drop with my own eyes, I'll be looking in FOW and the Enchvold forest as well as UW.

my 55 partner got a gold gloom shield from a chest yesterday, so yes it can be found in UW

me and my guildys cleared the UW the day before the update, We plan on doing it agian, I will let you guys know if we figure out what drops the shield. We fought everything in sight up too the Twin serpant moutains, and beyond. So many mesmers, thank god for rit spirits or we would have been screwed down there, mesmers drop ectos too by the way Anyhow, we will go agian with a 4 man team, or maybe 5, and clear it and find those dang sheilds. I'm thinking Beamouths might have them, or maybe colds?

Based on the guildwars update they only said gloom shields only drop in uw. They failed to mention which monsters or chests or keyless chests (quest reward) to acquire it. So, I'm going to make an assumption that it drops from any monsters and chests in the uw. It just that its rare so you have to keep farming. 
But if you guys can prove me wrong and found out that it only drops in chests or certain monsters please feel free to share that information.

thx jeremy =). i've killed a bunch of coldfires and not a drop from them yet...i would try and find those mesmers but need to get the guild down there also =).

They are rare/gold only so gold chest is your best bet.

I think ANet just didnt make it drop from any enemies in the Ice Wastes. It's one of the most farmed area's in the game, so im pretty sure they didnt add anything there.

so, if your doing your duo smite run, hope for chests, if you wanna check some drops..clear it fully.
