Weapon holsters

hey guys, i sent this letter to anet about an idea i had for gw, thier responce was that it was a great idea,but i needed to post the idea on these forums ,so they could see the feedback for it on a large scale. so here it is! enjoy and keep rockin' gw gamers

hey guys,

before you bin this mail without even reading it through,i have an small idea that could revolutionise the way guildwars is played:

holsters for intown weapons

its only a small thing,but i actually did a little survey in game in cantha and tyria,and 100% of the people i asked,said it was a great idea and i should contact you guys about it. think about it! gun like holsters on the hips/belts of necros, one for thier gordaks needle and one for thier shadestone, or a warrior,wielding an icey dragon sword across his back walking side by side with a mesmer carrying a staff casually on one shoulder. its only a small thing, but i think this would also make players alot happier, not even having to say what weapon they have,seeing as its right there,on screen infront of them

great work on the manuscripts btw! ive never read an entire book in my life,but for some reason i couldnt stop reading these things! i think anyone who has read through the manuscripts would also be very happy with the ability to play as the tengu,another little idea

I'm going to rename the title of this thread. Please don't use generic titles. Make them descriptive.

Actually, this has been posted several times. And the opinions were far from always positive...I wouldn't mind though

/ sign it would be cool to see people with the Ultra Rare weapons running around town. Since I can not afford them and never had one drop for me it would be cool to at least see them. Maybe have weapon slot 1 default and have axes/swords on your belts and shields/hammers on your back for warriors. Canes and staffs and wands in hands and off hands on your belt

This could be... interesting. I wouldn't say I was entirely for it; but I wouldn't have anything against it if it was implimented.

idk bout swords i wouldnt hate it but i would like to see quivers and the way paragons store all those spears they throw first lol

but yeah i wanna see and show off my equipment in towns (i believe the first reason they do not do extra things in outposts is for 56k'ers and ppl who are supposed to beable to play without massive loading all other ppls stuffs and such...)

well idk bout anyone else but 56k is a dying breed, besides they can always add a option: "show other ppl equiptment or not"

This is kind of pointless but I don't think it'll hurt anything.... It'll just be a detail that'll be forgotten anyway.

actually, one thing I sorta want to see too is Backpack. It help adds on some RP factor, and really make you feel like an outdoors adventurer. It has its own problems thought, but some RP people might like it.

Also I would want a /weapon emote, where you can wave around your weapon while in town.

Search works fine for me. Just punched in weapon holster and got one match from February
