Is this by far the best shield doing the rounds at the mo or is there better?

To me iyt is the best all arround shield because all teh bonuses are not situational and the req is low. if look doesn't matter, craft or get a bronz shield at Kaineng or collector will give the same spec

It's the best no requirement stats for a shield, but then again most of the time you will probably use a stance or have an enhancement on you so you might as well go with one of those (-2 dmg/+45 health)

+30 is still argued as being better then the +45 conditional even when you stay in either stance or enchanted just because it cannot be removed to your detrement. The debates old and over in the PVP or war forums somewhere. As to the 20%...meh at best. It's nice when it activates and % are never truely representative of their literal meaing but again why rely on chance when you can controls something?

There's a weapon crafter who makes a bronze shield with the exact same stats as the Exalted Aegis.
I still use the Exalted Aegis, as it's easily the best-looking shield in the game. It just annoys me that they didn't bother to put a texture on the back side of such a nice shield.
