Dervishs have a lot of potential however they req thought about the build you are using. So I thought we'd try to figure out what would be good PvE dervish builds.

Dervish skills: http://gw.gamewikis.org/wiki/Dervish...uick_reference

I'll start

Guardian's Conviction Dervish Tank build

D/Mo

Sythe: 12+1+1
Mysticism: 10+1
Earth Prayers: 8+1

Eremite's Attack
Reap Impurities
Wounding Strike
Conviction
Avatar of Balthazar {E}
Aura of Thorns
Mirage Cloak
Rebirth

Before going in stop and think. If it's a large gorup then use Avatar of Balthazar if it isn't then save it for later. Use Aura of Thorns when you get in there to spread conditions and for an enchantment for conviction. Keep Conviction up all the time it'll provide you with +24 armor giving you 94 armor which is higher then the base of a warrior.

Use Reap Impurities as your self heal. If you have around 2 or more ememies around you, you should be fine.

If your getting attacked a lot use Mirage Cloak to half the damage.

Pros: Can take a good amount of damage and stay alive without heavy enchantment/ stance removal.

Cons: Hard to take on bosses.

So what do you think?

You may be jumping the gun a bit.

The Dervish will be nerfed: It's a bit premature to make builds already.

Well, what do you know, I was right.

Dervish will be forced to rely on Earth Prayers in order not to die in one hit. Otherwise, we'll have another Assassin crisis.

Patrons of Azura

First off, Professions - D/E----The Geo Grim

Attributes: Scythe Mastery-16
Mysticism-10
Earth Magic (Not Prayers)-10

Skills: Aftershock (Earth Magic)
Armor of Earth (Earth Magic)
Earthquake (Earth Magic)
Mystic Sweep (Scythe Mastery)
Pious Assault (Scythe Mastery)
Chilling Victory (Scythe Mastery)
Faithful Intervention (Mysticism)
Elite-Avatar of Melandru (Mysticism)

Armor and Weapons: As much energy as you can get.

General Use:

Before entering a battle, cast faithful intervention. When your health drops below 50% faithful intervention ends. (which heals for a good 100ish health with 10 mysiticm). Run in and use Avatar of Melandru. This will give u the 200 additional max health (for 40 seconds with 10 mysticism). As soon as you have the aggro, cast armor of earth to raise your armor level for 30 seconds. (Armor +48, Speed -26% with 10 earth magic). Now, its time for damage. Use earthquake to knock them down and cause damage (75 at 10 earth magic). Use aftershock to cause extra damage to the knocked down foes (124 at 10 earth magic). At this point, you should still have 2 (or 3, if the avatar counts as an enchantment or just a form) enchantments on you, so use mystic sweep to cause an extra 10-11 damage for each enchantment on you. Throw in chilling victory for added damage (74 extra, with 16 scythe assuming you have more health than them). Finally, continually use pious assault until all your enchantments are gone and it has to recharge. With the ending of faithful intervention because of pious assault, you'll be healed.

(In need of emergency heal, just remove faithful intervention with pious assault)

Note: Energy will most likely be a problem, but depending on max energy armor and energy bonuses to weapons, only a skill or two may have to be replaced. Earthquake, at 25 energy, will be the most likely, but the knockdown may be worth it. Maybe get rid of aftershock and replace with either raging renewal, meditation, or eremite's zeal for energy management.

Let me know what you think!!!!!!

Just for the record. i think it was a little obvious that the dervish were going to be nerfed during the PvP event. But now that the game is out, i dont think the dervish have a place in PvP. they are now more of a PvE class which is fine by me. I think you jumped the gun by being a prick and putting down someone else for being aspirational. some people....

Ive been thinkin D/R
tigers fury + zealous scythe.....
i think its req 12 BM to have consatant tigers fury. tigers fury is 10 energy but with the + energy from enchs ending and zealous we should get that back within the 10 seconds you have to regen 10 energy.....
anybody think of anythin to ruin this?
allthough..... 12 BM might be a waste for one skill..... so maybe add the bunny thumper skills like pet and ferocious strike? that leaves 3 attack skills and res... so hopefully this should be awesome i hope well ill try it with mine once my NF is all good

I have a D/N and am wondering if I should switch my 2nd to something else. I'm still only level 8 but i havent been using any N skills... casting takes too long. I was thinking of using blood magic but maybe i should go back to my D/Mo that i had in the preview... any suggestions? also, just wanted to say the dervish is my new favorite character class.. and i have every type of character except an assassin... hehe
