Special Items

Ok, lemme get 1 thing straight first: I'm not being racially hateful to anyone at all with this thread.

Ok, so, special items are bonus stuff you get ingame for an individual thing, perhaps owning a CE or winning a competition. Each Nation has a different special items. Ok let me make it brutally easy to see by comparing the stuff:

Europe special items:

A miniature kuunavang.

Korea special items:


Warrior: Serrated shield. -1 in a stance, +30hp always, unique skin

Monk: Wolfs Favour(offhand). 20%chance for halved recharge+casting time. unique skin

Warrior: Rhino's Charge. Sundering 20/20, 15^50, unique skin

Ele: Tiger's Roar(wand). 20% chance for halved recharge+casting time, unqiue skin

Ranger: Nevermore Flatbow. 33% poisoning, 15^50, unique skin

Mesmer: Illuminated Scepter(wand). Energy +3^50, 20% chance for halved casting time. unique skin

Necro: Soul Shrieker(staff). 20% chance for halved recharge+casting time, energy+5 always, unique skin.




See the amazing difference? Not only does korea get better items than us, but the special competitions that you enter to win them were restricted to korea and only korea. I'd like to see some special items we can actually use in battle of our own (europe+america). Gimme a link to items with a similar fashion to the weaps that europe+america can get their hands on if i'm wrong. It seems all we got were flashy but useless things. Korea got flashy and useful things.

well that's because ArenaNet's parent company is located in Korea and they commanded Anet to make these for that region...

1) Kuunavang is not Europe only...its ALL Factions CE.

2) All of those items mentioned are avialable in both Europe and America in the "06" and "GOTY" editons respectively.

Crap that wand seems to rock >_> wish i had it, is it for all spells for just a certian kind? Seems a little too good.

GW and GW: Factions did considerably better in North America and Europe. All the promotional things are aimed at Korea because that's where their sales are severely lacking.

Apart from the fact (as pointed out above) that you are totally wrong about what was given out to whom - there are many who might argue that the mini pet is just as cool as any weapon or focus.

I would rather have a good looking weapon that did stuff rather than a mini pet

Heres what I see, all my special items I had from pre orders, do not appear anymore, when I create new characters.

Parent company is located in korea, well that make sense now, maybe that is why Korea always wins, they are secretly given an unfair advantage over all others. IQ won by the skin of their teeth, I say it is an conspirousy.

I know most americans think everything is an conspirousy, but I bet if you look hard enough, you will find that there are some strangly unfair practices going on with companys and the regines where they are based.
