Factions or the Original?
Warrior is always a strong choice for beginners. They have high armor, and get into groups more easily than some other classes. Its also alittle easier to control henchman with them if you want to use henchman instead of players to do your stuff.
Secondary doesn't matter as much as you'd think atleast in this sense. Most go /monk for a healing spell or two, though you'll find that less than effective given your energy.
