. I don't think Vermin put hexes on you (do they?) so if you are using it for vermin I would suggest using Healling Breeze to help with the poison and bleeding, instead of Smite Hex (this would make it similar to King's Spectre's build).

Seeping Wound is a hex used by Shreader. I use something similar to what you posted in both the Skyway and Pongmei and it's nothing short of easy.

It's does the exact same thing, you just don't have to use bonettis during the fight since their attacks will give you energy all the time. It's not the energy, it's the health bar I was worried about. Shielding hands gives you 10 seconds, but then you have to go 15 seconds with no stance to keep you going. I know that with barbs on me my life drops like a rock if I cast as spell or something between cyclone axe and bonetti's.
Do you do something in that 15 second gap, or are a few cyclones and triples enough to keep you going?

Another Question I have?
Does anyone else, kill the ahh fan and the jade to try and get runes.
This has produced a few nice runes for me lately.
I even got one from a yeti(minor Strength), did not know that was possible.
In one 10 minute run, I got all of the loot normal to the kirin and undergrowth, but from the jade i got superior smiting rune, and silver dye from the A, Boss.

Do you get as much gold here as farming Vermin? I know you don't get Gothic weapons,or any perfect weapon by farming Vermin (except Shreaders daggers). But when I farm vermin, I get about 3-5K gold per half-hour, not including materials. This run seems shorter and more difficult, no? Can it drop perfect purples farming Kirin?
BTW, I think the best thing about the ops post was not the build, which is basically average. The best thing was his comments on how to maximize earnings by selling and making materials. That was very cool.

I got some purple daggers (not good) and a gold marble hammer 15%stance req.13, so nothing great but it's still quite nice.
jadedragoon
this is a great build I will have to try it out!
-andy-
did some counting i get like 8,5k in 30 mins and i got a perfect dual gothic axe today
thx very much for sharing...

Nice job. good detail on the material selling. For those of you that dont have a warrior, this can be farmed with a 55 monk and a barrage monk ranger just as easy. The key to farming many areas is pick up everything that drops and figure out how to salvage and craft and sell for the most money.

with 2 maintained enchantments bonetti's is your only energy source which is too conditional in my opinion. also I think that Live Vicarously is a waste... Endure Pain is so much better and stacking both is just overkill... and I dislike Mending Wammos in general...
so I would make a few tweaks to your build to improve it and to also work in non hex farming areas...
use a Totem Axe which gives you 20/20 sundering(great with judge's insight), +5 energy and 20% longer enchantments
you could also bring a second set with a zealous axe of some sort, for when you need energy
16(12+3+1) Axe Mastery(if you can offer the sup rune)
9(8+1) Strength
8 Smiting Prayers
7 Healing Prayers
you should also bring a vigor and absorption rune, superiors if you can afford, less if not. make sure the vigor is higher or equal to the absorption, so dont bring minor vigor with superior absorption for example as you dont want your life to be too low...
Triple Chop(E)
Cyclone Axe
Bonetti's Defense
Wild Blow/Distrupting Chop/Dolyak Sig/Shield Stance/Watch Yourself/Sprint/any other utility that you like(depending on personal prefference and location)
Judge's Insight
Endure Pain
Vigorous Spirit
Mending/Healing Breeze(whichever you preffer and depends on location or drop it all together for another utility skill)

to those who say that trolls is better :/ u are definately doing something wrong.. this is like 800g in 2-3 mins..
Franco
lol
600g in 2 minuts = 6k in 20 minuts
UW 20 minuts = 10k atleast, and if u get more then ecto or a rare drop 15-100k :P.

Yeah i suppose that is true, but its not after you get used to it.

sure, but till you get used you'll spend a nice ammount of gold

lol rare items can drop here too, gothic items are still worth a pretty nice amount

EDIT: Never mind I solved it now
legacyofkain85
nice build btw id did a few runs and in about 3-4 hours i made 500 piles of glittering dust and 500 plant fibers.I actulay dont even use judge´s insight only use triple chop+boneti´s defence and cyclone axe +the enchantements of course. The only thing is that bolt of damask is worth 290 gold now so tradeing with people maight be a very good option.Btw u can also keep the wood planks and make rolls of parchement than sell those to the trader ,100rolls could earn u 3k or so
and if u go farming for lumps of charcoal u can craft the iron ingots in to steel ingots and sell those to(i usualy salvage everything from a run).

cool..thanks for the info legacy...i farmed them a while back using your build but got kinda tired of it....might have to make my way back to pongmei valley

Charqus
Legacy theres no point crafting steel because you can buy cheaper than craft..
What Now Homie
great build for farming kurzick keys... I got 3 on my first run!

First of all, thanks for the awesome farming build and location, really a quick, easy farming run.
Just one small improvement to the build that I experimented with and really worked well. If you have the money to, I suggest a 3/1 vamp axe. The -1 regen is negligible if you already have mending on and with the hordes of enemies that are usually around you, gets you much more health back than it loses. Makes it much easier to stay alive and does the 3 extra dmg to each too.
Also, i was wondering if there are any other places in cantha with a similar mix of kirin and undergrowths. I've been looking, but haven't found one yet, it would be real nice work of farming code by farming the same things somewhere else (if i understand code correctly, as long as its a different area it will work off).
Thanks again.

There is no need for vampiric weapon. live vigorously and vigorous spirit are more then enough. with 8 in healing that's +23 hp on hit, and with group of 6 around you that's enough to fill you up.
If you need similar farming places, they can be found all over kurzick forest (not as easy as pongmei, but still usefull)

I realize that vamp is not needed, but the extra health gain helped a little for me, thats all. Also think it makes it a bit quicker, as there have countless posts about the math of vamp vs. sundering mods.

TO OP:
If you use a "Zealous" axe, each time you swing your axe using Triple Chop or Cyclone Axe in a large mob Bonnettis fully recharges itself. You don't need Balthazar's Spirit and you don't need Mending or any other healing. Live Vicariously and Vigourous Spirit works just fine. Energy management should be a no brainer at this point. In fact you should never ever run out of energy without ever having to use Bonettis. I only use Bonettis as a safety precaution. So basically I have...
Live Vicariously
Vigourous Spirit
Cyclone Axe
Triple Chop
Bonnettis
(now you are left with 3 open slots to add dmg however way you like)
^^ Your health and energy management is all taken care of with those 5 skills with a Zealous modded Axe. Any more healing or energy skills is overkill and really isn't needed.

Sorry for reviving an old thread, but im indesperate need of plant fibers, does this build still work or does aoe nerf affect it terribly?

This build isn't very effective any more because of aoe scatter and there are also dragon moss near the kirins now which can hit fo high damage.

he said "12 characters" because there's a 12 character minimum to make a post. he just didn't want to say anything beyond "No".

Ah.. I miss rounding up a zillion horsies and all the ferns I could find. I have to say, though that the new *blamURdead* builds that came because of this nerf are fun.
If you still have "the new escort" quest open, you can kill all the dragon moss with a W/rit VwK build and add plenty of fiber to your diet.

Way to flame someone for answering the question and doing everything correctly.
This build doesn't seem like it will work, but out of curiousity did it work well in the first place? I never used it

I never used it This build is no longer effective(It's still possible, but much slower.), but it did indeed work well before the AI scatter. The OP's first build has too much healing; a vamp axe with 8 healing and vigorous spirit/Live Vicariously is enough when Bonetti's is always up. The Kuzick priest can fill Mending's slot on your bar, leaving room for more damage.
