Guild Wars hanging at Map load screens

So I have this issue that is fairly new. All of the sudden, Guildwars will hang when I go to load a map, and I won't connect or I will connect, but it will never get past the area loading screen! I don't get this at all.... I can still hear peoples' PMs when it reads 100% loaded, but usually it hangs at zero. Ive tried ending other programs and such, doesnt fix it. If I do end up loading, I have a 2 min lag at least. This is retarded, as I was 9 flawless in RA today, and going for my next glad pt, and it did it when I went to load the 10th map.... stupid...

I have 22Mb T3, AMD X2 AM2 4000+ dual core, 2GBs DDR2-800 RAM, 320GB prependicular HDD, 120GB SATA 3gb HDD, and a 250GB EIDE storage drive (internal), 2x 7900GTs in 16x SLi, ABIT Fatality AM2 nVidia 590 SLi 16x mobo, 680Watt PSU. So I assume it isn't my machine nor my internet.

Temps are:

CPU: -8C
GPU: 17C
GPU1: 11C
Motherboard Northbridge: 8C
System Temp: 26C

Any ideas??? I can't have this happening when I am going for glad title or in HA!

yeah the same things happening with me and alot of other players, just check out the lag/error7 thread. don't go screwing with crap for your internet or any settings right now, because that's probably not it. i've done everything imaginable to try to get mine to work all to no avail. i've been asking NCsoft about it and they keep asking me a billion questions so i have to keep mailing them back. but this is an ongoing thing and its pretty lame. as soon as i hear from them ill post back here what they say...just hang tight.

Hey there,

Did you try decompressing all of the GW files? Whenever I've had bad luck getting stuck at the loading screen while changing areas, I've exited the game and decompressed and then afterwards, no problems whatsoever.

To decompress,

Click Start
Click Run
Type c:\program files\guild wars\gw.exe -image
Click OK
A window will launch to check for any updates, and afterwards it will decompress all of your files. If you haven't decompressed since the Nightfall PVP event it will probably have about 10-20 minutes worth of stuff to decompress; once the "decompressing" window goes away you can sign on to GW and you shouldn't have the map loading problem anymore. If you do, could be lag after all. Hope it's not.

Yeh, I have actually decompressed all the files.

Update: I had the same thing happen 9x yesterday, and each of those 9x, it was after my 9th win in RA, going into the 10th round...@-@ >.<

WTF, does ANET not want me to have a glad title? I have 6 Glad pts! I should have 34 atm.... but I DON'T!

Very nice PC, though there is no AMD X2 4000 dual core AM2?, and those temps, what are you cooling it with phase change, vaporchil. Though I do agree that the problem is poosibly on the server side of Anet, it has been happening alot lately

I had a similar problem. Every update for the last month has started locking my computer on the load screen. The only fix I have found was to reset the size of my page file. After that, the problem disappears until the next update. To reset your page file, right-click on My Computer->Properties. Click the Advanced tab. In the Performance area, click Settings. Click the Advanced Tab. In the Virtual Memory area, click Change. Set the initial size to 0, and the maximum size to 0. Click OK and reboot your computer. After reboot, reset your page file size to initial 1024, maximum 2048.
