Virulence Elite Necro skill broken?

I took this today to try a N/W using bleed from Sever Artery then Virulence. Everytime I cast Virulence I received disease myself. I dont know if the target was also receiving disease on top of mine or wether it was just landing on me instead of them.

This happend on almost every possible class combo, it was not Plague Touched back onto me or Tained Flesh from my melee hits etc, it was my own Virulence casts putting disease on ME.

Anyone know why?.

Disease spreads and you were in melee range.

Virulence has always been like that.
Since you have spread Disease on your Target,
Note This: Disease can be spread to anyone just by touching them [even his/her own teamates]

Disease infects everything regardless of whether it affects the source, ally, or foe within close vicinity with the exception of those who are enchanted with tainted ally. So its not really a bug.

Thats an annoying draw back being the case.

In PvE, disease will spread only amongst the enemies of the originator.
In PvP, disease will spread amongst all players on the battlefield that come into close proximity, regardless of what side they are on.

So virulence shouldn't have this problem in pve.

He didn't. Everyone was assuming he was talking about pvp. I was just clarifying the situation in case he wasn't aware of the difference in disease behavior between pve and pvp. If by chance he was having this problem in pve then something would be wrong.

you may have been Confused because of Tainted Flesh, maybe you have been in a HA team with a Tainted Warder and not been diseased? Tainted makes you immune to Disease. Maybe recieving Disease yourself from Virulence confused you.
