I was trying to test scout armour, though im still uncertain...Does the +10 armour only apply when your using preparing your preperation...or do you get your +10 whilst its active?

It's while the preperation is active.
"Whilst activating a preperation" - This is what it would say if its whilst activating it.
"Whilst activating a preperation" - This is what it would say if its whilst activating it.

It was originally bugged, and only applied the additional armor while you were activating the Prep. Now it works as was intended and it adds armor while you are under the effects of a preperation.
