OK, sorry for the crappy title, I tried to convey a summary of the idea, and it just didn't work out.

Basically, this is an idea for add-on to the Guild Hall. Anet recently made it possible to purchase NPCs for your Guild Hall, I'm assuming to make the place feel more like a social environment for all the guildies, and make it a quick and easy one-stop shop. Rolling more on this idea, I came up with the "Hero's Hall" or "Hero Hall", whichever sounds better.

In essence, the Hero's Hall is a mini-Guild Hall for you and you alone. You would purchase it individually, as the leader/officers would the NPC's. Every member could have one, and it would work like a small home, or kinda like an apartment connecting to the larger complex, the Guild Hall.

In this Hero's Hall, you could have extra storage, possible decorating options (completely in the air, I'm not attached to this idea at all), and (this is the coolest part, IMO) access to all of your characters. What I'm picturing is a room that has all your characters just standing around casually (in full rendered glory). You would be able to click on each character and have instant access to their inventory, as if it's extra storage.

Are you following me? If not, let me try to explain it a little better...

You talk to an NPC in your Guild Hall, who would basically be like a guard, or a groundskeeper. That NPC gives you access to your abode, your Hero's Hall, via dialog box. Once inside, you notice it feels like a home. It's your character's home, or rather, your 'account's' home since you notice your roommates... all your other characters are here, too. They're just standing around, or possibly sitting down, or doing emotes, whatever...

You click on one of your other characters, and viola! It's their inventory. No need to log out and back in with that character, as you can now quickly and easily access all the items you have on your account. Oh, and look there, it's a big chest... with a Xunlai Agent standing at attention! Wonder what that means...

Get it? Yeah, that's the idea.

I was also tossing around the idea that the way the room looked completely depended on the Guild Hall, and whether you were a normal member, an officer, or a leader. Plus, it could be neat to be able to form up to an 8-person party (like you normally can) before going into your Hero's Hall, and 'invite' people in that way. You could hold 'secret' meetings, secret to even the rest of your Guild, or just have a private party. Obviously no one invited this way could touch your stash, but they could view your other characters. This kind of invite would be limited to Guildies and Guests only.

So there you have it... what do you guys think?

As in, your other heros, or characters on your account. It's meant to be a getaway kind of area that you can easily access you other character's inventories.

It's meant to be an ease-of-use function/feature, much like all the other Guild Hall add-ons/NPCs. That's how I see it, at least, not how that other thread portrays it.

You go to your little room one day and find all your other characters passed out drunk. Turns out they trashed the place and spent all your money on dwarven moonshine (the hard stuff)

You know, that's a good point, and I did think about that as I was typing. I know there is a limit to how many characters you can have (I think it's 64? or is that how many slots you can buy?), so as long as the space supports that many, so a garage/warehouse sized area.

I dunno, any ideas on how that could work?

ohhh man theres a part in that idea that is truly awesome!! My characters have never met, if I saw them standing around casually, I'd be happy to call myself a girl and play dolls with them!!

But I'm a guy *fart* *snort* *gimme a beer and cook me some eggs!*

No that would be really awesome!

You wanted to know how the guild wars server wouldn't start lagging because of this:

Make rooms something you and you guild members own together, like a guild hall.

Like kaineng center dis 1, when its full, you ain't getting in.

Every room is a new area, meaning: when you enter your house, the servers don't have to process all your rooms, but just the 1 you start in.

I love this idea. It would make shuttling items back and forth an absolute breeze, and I'm not one to argue against having individual space. It doesn't go to the extremes of "zomg let's turn GW into the SIMZ!", but still allows for the possibility of individual expression.

Rockin'.
