Dragon Slash or Evicerate?

OK. The Dragon Slash combo is
(IAS) Dragon Slash - Galraths - Silverwing

or sometimes

(IAS or For Great Justice) Dragon Slash- Galraths - Sun and Moon

The Evicerate Combo is pretty much...
(IAS) Evicerate - Executioners - something else

As I see it, the DS combos takes a while to get going, then does continously +40 damage on each attack.

The Evicerate combo does +40 + Deep Wounds + 40 + (usually) 25-30 with another attack, then takes a while to recharge.

Which is better against fleshys (including PvP)?

Evicerate, no contest. To have a deep wound for dragon slash you need too many slots, leaving 2 (or 3 with axe rake) with axe leaves more slots for utility.

Also Eviscerate is the best skill under axe while Dragon Slash doesn't synergize with Final Thrust, the best skill under swordsmanship.

I don't think you can compare a pressure sword skill to a spike axe skill and get any real logic from it.

In PvE, I still think that it's better to have the ability to use Adrenaline skills more often against more targets, rather than saving up for an Eviscerate Spike against one target.

In PvP, it depends on what your team is doing. Were you a pressure team, than there might be room for a Dragon Slash warrior. Personally I think there are better choices... but its not a bad option. If you needed a spiker, then yes Eviscerate or Final Thrust would be better. It all depends on the situation.

You should compare Cleave to Dragon slash, in which case, Cleave at 4 adren is better.
Final thrust is a demi-elite, which kinda makes it the best sword skill since it doesn't take up your elite slot.

In PvP, eviscerate, for spiking. More than half your attacks will be evaded or blocked in PvP, so dragon is not so good there.

In PvE, either works, but I prefer Dragon Slash. You can stick on a bar full of adrenal skills, go W/R for Tiger's Fury, have a zealous weapon, and just go nuts (make sure to have Sun and Moon slash on there).

Final Thrust costs 10a and blows all of your adrenalin. Again, I'd much rather have Dragon Slash.

I too prefer Dragon Slash over Final Thrust, but probably because i play a lot more pve than pvp.

In pvp, what u want (for a warrior) is to deliver a very big spike of damage in a very short time. It doesn't really matter if it takes a while before reaching the adrenaline to pull the combo. You basically wont be doing any damage until you get your spike combo ready, since the "building adrenaline attacks" you do will probably be healed, being a more constant source of damage (and also a smaller amount of damage) than a spike.

So in pvp, warriors fill all their adrenaline skills before unleashing them all in one flurry. After that flurry, you want your target to be dead which explains why final thrust is very good in pvp.

Of course, in terms of damage dealt, dragon slash is far superior than final thrust, since it can makes u use all your other adrenaline skills a lot more often, rather than losing all adrenaline with final thrust. It's really in the longer fights that dragon slash shine. The pain is to reach that first 10 adrenaline. In PvE, especially solo, the fights takes a while and i easily have to hit dragons slash 5-6 times before i clear the mobs, which really improves my damage per second. In this case you can deal like 3x more damage than with any other attack skills combination, axe or swords.

@kanuks:
Axe spikes better than sword, so in a PvP case I'd rather take eviscerate+executioner's than sever+gash+final.

For PvE I far prefer Dragon Slash over any other warrior elite.

I alway got the impression Dragon slash would be a good skill in PvP I can see 100Blades for pvE but DS you could use it for both don't you think? That is if you want your normal set up sever.gash, final thrust and then use charge for your elite.

For Pve=Dragon Slash ( DPS wins over spikes)

For PvP=Evis (damage is needed as spikes)

I'm with Tainek, but for me it would depend on what i want to use, sword or axe. I prefer swords.

Dragon Slash does see use in PvP, typically matched with Sever, Gash, and Sun and Moon Slash. Good for pressure since it has the ability to inflict deep wounds rather quickly.

To the forum, I agree that eviscerate is much better then dragon slash in most pvp situations.
But a good skill for pvp that matches the pressure/spike damage of axe, is quivering blade.
