Vengeful - Beach Farm

First of all a few things that are not that intresting, but I did want to say.

- My english ist not the best and all but 100% in Gramma, so no need to bitch about it. I know it.
- This tempalte/s are nothing real new at all. I just thought it maybe a nice add if people browse forum and look for new farm way or area for their Ritu to farm.
- Maybe with finding this template they realize that it is possbile to beach farm or bored Warrior Beach farmers give it a try, to have a new beach farm expirience.


Character / Equipment recommended:

- Ritualist for sure
- Subclass Mesmer or Ranger, other should work too.
- Armor = +15 AL while affected by Weapon spell, is at least pretty good choice
- Weapons: Guess a lot of combis or choices will work, for me a +10 AL Staff worked fine.


Skills and Attributes:

Ritualist/Mesmer
Level: 20

Restoration Magic: 16 (12+4)
Inspiration Magic: 3
Illusion Magic: 12

11 Illusion will do fine, too. I just prefer the 1 more second run buff and you really don t need the Physical resistance skilled up! But the 1 second longer run can save your life.

- Vengeful Was Khanhei [Elite] (Restoration Magic)
- Arcane Echo (Mesmer other)
- Vengeful Weapon (Restoration Magic)
- Resilient Weapon (Restoration Magic)
- Soothing Memories (Restoration Magic)

To start out you don t really need “Shoothing Memories”. I just made a whole run without really using it and in my opinion the whole run was more save then with a Warrior.

- Vengeful Was Khanhei [Elite] (Restoration Magic)
- Vengeful Weapon (Restoration Magic)
- Resilient Weapon (Restoration Magic)
- Soothing Memories (Restoration Magic) Not Really needed, I prefer to use TU instead.
- Generous was Tsungrai (Restoration Magic)
- Troll Unguent (Wilderness Survival)
- Storm Chaser (Wilderness Survival)
- Serpents Quickness [Variable not really need but will work better, Thx Bolygo for the tip]

Note: The Rt/R was thought for "poor mans" start, when u don t have XY Skill Points to unlock, it will work with VwK, VW, RW, SM, SC only... ! Will be challengeing but maybe even more of fun this way .




- I don t want to give a full Tutorial how to make a Beach run, so I will Link over to a great Warrior Beach Far guide for Basic. (if this is not appriciated, plz let me know)

- Check out in the following link how to run to the beach, how to pull and how to find safezones also the way how monsters act. But still you will learn the most ingame via learning by doing.

- If you didn t play a Vengeful farmer yet, I would suggest to read following guide and get a basec how to play it at some easy monsters. Like Dragonroots and kirins right outside of “Maatu Keep”.

If expirienced in Beach farming and Vengeful farming or read the guides read on or not for a few hints at the beach with the Vengeful Ritu.

The better choice of Both Templates above should definitly be the Rt/Me, because the Echoed Khanhei and Spiders wont hit you for more then 25 with an AL of 109. At least they didn t hit me for more.

The Rt/R I added because I had no skill point to buy Illusion of haste yesterday. So I thought it would be nice to add it for people that don t have the money or skill points to buy need skills. But may got the ranger skills.


Added: How to run to Beach

- When spawned go to tha Wall behind Ghost
- Wait till the Shadow Group u need to pass stopped moveing, they will sort of format them.. All take a specific position.
- Check out where the Shadow Mesmer is, if he is far your fine. If he is close and will be in cast range expect a shatter enchantment!

- Move up as close as possible without aggroing them
- Cast Resilent weapon, Tsungrai then IoH. When u expect a shatter wait with running till IoH is rechared to 3/4 the move along the wall. (tsungrai isn t 100% needed but useful if u want to have backup without need to cast it)
- Whenshattered IoH asap and run on.

- Video May Will follow. Hope that few notes help a bit on the start of the run.
- Explain whole run in words without screens isn t possible, at least not for me. Only can consirder to read the warrior guide i linked above for how the way to beach is in general and the mob movements!

NEW: VIDEO
-Containt, How to run to beach, how to pull, and some other minors.
-Note that Mobs can spawn slighty different and safezones at beach mustn't
be a safe zone everytime.
-If u don t want to take a risk, kill everything...

-Note In the Upper Right corner u see a countdown till u can download, then enter validation code... .
-If u once failed to type code correct, push backward and then refresh to get a new code.


-You will need to download a 2MB Tool ofeered by badago (same site) to merge the files. It got split up while uploading.
The tool look pretty easy to handle. So shouldn t be a big deal at all.
-Sometimes the host is working on the webspace and the File is not avaible for an unspecific amount of time. PLZ Try again Later if so!

Hints at the Beach:



Shepereds Deal a good amount of dmg in a single attack, but they are not enougth in one group to get dangerous. With Rt/Me there shouldn t be any problem at all.
With Rt/R you should be a bit careful when Khanhei runs out. Best Cast TU when Khanhei starts to blink and when fully run out Grab Tsungrai Ashes. If you need extra heal beside TU drop the Tsungrai.

Spam Vengeful Weapon all the way at this mobs, so they go down quickly.
At the other hand this mobs are the most dangerous for the Rt/Me if you get Skales added by accident. If unlucky you will be crippeled by Shepered life transfer + siphon on you and no Khanei up… . Died once yet to such happening when not paing attention for 10 seconds… .

Note: When you Hold an Ashes and cast a new one you will drop the old ones not loose them like when they just time out. So if you cast a new ashes while hold one already. YOU will get the “drop effect” from this ashes when dropping them through summoning new.




Dryders are the least mobs that should kill you down here. Just get them to an save zone cast Khanhei and spam Vegeful. Don t try to Echo Khanhei when aggroed, if u want an echoed khanhei get it echoed before u aggro em. Or they shatter before you are able to cast Khanhei in most trys.

The most intresting part are Spiders. I wasn t sure if it will work, since I had to go down with Rt/R how I said because of lag of Illusion of haste.
The nice Part was when I noticed that you really need to do a lot of mistakes at once, fall asleep or go afk when fightning them to die to them.
In other word, if they wouldn t have Healing spring on their bar we could go pull Hundreds of them and kill them all at once. But well, they got Healing Spring.

With Rt/Me it is damn easy. If you handle your energy right, I say it shouldn t be impossible to aggro all spiders on the field and pick out a few you kill.
Just Hold Resilent Weapon running if you want to take no risk. Run up to the stack you pulled out and echo Vengeful was Khanhei. Hold Physical Resistance running and recast Khanhei. If u want you can spam Vengeful weapon, if you Spiders will die after the 3rd Khanhei. Some may still live, depending on how much they got healed by the first planted Healing Spring. (Few tips on avoid HS and pulling to a stack later on)

With Rt/R you should take care to mostly only pull 1 group of spiders. What are 3, if a 2nd group will add it should be no problem to hold youself alive while Khanhei still rechargeing.
If you get aggro more then 6 you need to decide if make sure and run or try to make it.
Important for Rt/R is to Hold Resilent Weapon running all the time, it will grant you armor and +2 regeneration even when poisoned.


Avoid Healing Springs
Ya the deal is to not let them use Healing Spring. We do it like in the Warrior “BeachFarm” Tutotrial mentioned way.
If you go in “like” melee range the spiders wont use Healing Spring!
That’s even all about it.
The thing to learn is, how close you need to really be.
Best way is to Aggro 1 group pull them back and get them to stack up. I.E. 1 spider is 5 feet right sided to the other to, try to move out of shot range to the left of them. So the single spider will move up into their friends.
If you got a good stack move in cast Khanei, if rechargeing hold yourself alive while it(mostly just pick 1 Tsungrei and drop it when lower the 50% will do it) , and recast Khanei…. Loop.
For Rt/Me just hold Khanei Running.

Note: When you aggroed 1 group of spiders and run up to them, some or even all will cast healing srping 1 time. So don t be worried, maybe just wand them to interrupt them. After that 1st Healing Spring they shouldn t use it again. At least not the once you want to kill and stand close to. If they get healed by an other spider and you can t find a spot to fix the problem use your run buff and disaggro them. Go for a new try… .

Note: The First 3 shepereds/snarlings what ever at the entrance can be a dangerous grp when u aggro the dryder next to. But if you pull the snareling to where the dryder ~is you fight at a safer spot. Just don t try to echo cause of the shatter from the dryder... .

Note: If try pull spiders for 6 or more at once killing, notice it can take time or you fail pull em right. you maybe will be faster when just pulling 3 to a small stack.


Note: If you think you pull failed when trieng to kill more then 4 at once, use your last Khanhei to run out with Illusion of haste! If Khanhei runs out you can Hold your self alive against a lot of spider right, but you will be punished for any failure or mana point you maybe wasted before.


Never Kill less then 3 at once! You just need to stack spiders up, it is done in less then 1 minute mostly.


Pull Tip: At the Waterfall, Pull 6 Spiders to the Walls and move close the wall. Let them Group up and move little back and let them group up again. Loop this Untill you got them Stacked at an corner. Corners are the spot you want them to Group! Corners make them Stack as close as possible, but be careful 1 Step to far you move back can let them move arround the corner and split up again.
In my Expirience when pulling more then 6 to one stack, mostly 1 spider will be a little bit to far from you and plant healing springs that will heal all the other.

Inside the Cave you can do same you would need to wait for the 2nd three spider group to show up so.


After the last Spider you can move a little on and pop up 2 shadow beasts which you can solo even more easy then Dryders. They dropped me an Shard yesterday and gave me an new personal record of 4 shards in one beach run =).


Extra Note: Yes Cave Spiders do Have Savage shot. But for luck they only use it when your health will drop to ~1/3 or lower. So you don t want to drop that low. With Rt/Me this should not happen, with Rt/R make sure to pick Tsungrei earlie enougth to maybe manually drop it before castin Khanhei.

Well HF to stand spiders to death. For me it is just a more relaxing way to farm them then with a warrior.

Maybe will Add Screens later.

Hope it is of use for a few.

PS: This one is a way more challenging then Smite run with a Rt/Me at least in my opinion. Maybe the run to the spiders is a way more easy then to smites. But killing spiders specially 6 is more difficult/fun then killing 12 smites.

Best about it just change 2 skill and you can switch over for a smite run... So bored of one of both? go switch skills no need for change attributes at all.

BTW if anyone don't know, you can solo the Ancient scales also, just use a long bow on a land same height as them. Don't aggro them from a higher land this will cause them to run nearer to you. Aggro them and get them out of the cast range (out of ur aggro circle) VwK them to death.

When you drop TrollU. and Generous was whom ever and a bit of train it should be still possible to do.
So if u only need this 3 left skillslots for ur other build u can "mix em".
GwT u don t need if u do carefully... Shooting M. will be enougth. Or just upsidedown...

If someone got expirience with the "Rt invading the Forrest Build" i wonder if u can combine this 2...


And for Video i don t think i ll make one, sry.
Got at least one nice screene from a 6 spider pull killing all at 1time...which i could upload this evening.

added screen: 6 one health bar is bit hard to find... but screen should prove u can kill em all same time.

The problem with more then 6 is, that it is hard to pull all so close together that none of them will use healing spring. And if u just fail to pull one close enougth to the other. it most likely will heal all the others with healing spring... (sry if i m telling this 3rd time already XD )

Weidi what staff are you using in the video? I would suggest Brightclaw(also 2020 restoration) and a 2020 restoration focus. Gives you a better chance for fast recharge and skill cast. Just want to say thanks alot for the video. Now my rit/mes can farm both uw and fow XD~

For beginners, advice - do not aggro ancients skales and snarling driftwood together. You are not supposed to lol. Else die ugly. Aggroing Dryders and a group of 3 snarling driftwoods are fine. Just watch out for patrolling ancient skales. Practice makes perfect.

Look at those drops =_= those shards in the videos OMG LOL.

i like that armor add when lure the spiders together...

I took me damn 3000 gold to get past the first group of the shadow army. They just love to kill the ghostly

Well killing the skales is much more fun than running past them. if you have no longbow just lure them and walk back until they are aout of casting range. resilent weapon will help against the first degeneration. if they recast you have done something wrong
I love to kill them because they have always been a pain for my Warrior.

Hm, dunno how or why shadow grps kill the ghostly....
never happened to me :/.

But Have resilent weapon on to run to beach helps alot too. Since Mesmer and necros from the Shadow grps put alot of hexes on you.
And expect a shatter enchant from the shadow mesmers... it is no bad choice to run with tsungrai ashes in your hands.

The only problem ive ran into so far was after the first safe zone (according to the W/X spider farm) there is almost always a group or 2 of skales and 1 or 2 dryers, if its one then thats fine since i can recast IoH, if there is more then one then they keep shattering IoH..

although ive only tried it about 2 times when i was tired as hell. I havent tried the Rt/R and dont see a any point to since im more comfotable with the Rt/Me.

Weidi, could you explain the running part to get there a little more in depth? in case people have the same problem i did.

HM, the safe spot u mean is where a small group of shadow warriors come run to after lot of time?
If not there i don t exactly knw where u mean.

But in general, for me it is no problem to firght 3 Snarelings and 2 dryders...
U just need to cast Khanei when it is up, but don t echo it cuz of shatter. And spam Vengeful or Shooting M. to prevent dmg from WW.
Don t be scared to kill 6 snarelings at once or to try 6 snareling and 2 dryders. And even if u die then u at least know, when u really got to deaggro mobs .

But last days i had 2 or 3 very strange spawning when i gone to Beah too. I was like wtf are do this mobs here and this there... i never saw beach set up that way before... and had few problems... .

There is no advantage in the ranger, only disadvantage that is sure. I posted it for poeple, that maybe got the ranger skills unlocked but not the mesmer skills. Just wanted to let this ppl know they can start out with ranger then till they got the skill points .

But i think to solve all problems that different spawnings can t bring, i d need to make a run from every run .

Maybe i ll rewrite the whole guide in near future, cuz i think it got a bit confusing at all...

Rit/R style doable for caves and is much safer. Haven tried tanking all 6, but tanking 3 is a safe number. Same tactics as Rit/mes this time lure 3 instead of 6. Run back using stormchaser to break aggro if u accidenally lure 6 spiders. I died accidentally halfway through caves.

Before luring:
1. Cast Generous-, Resilent W-

When settling down to tank: (Watch the video Weidi provided)
1. Cast Serpent's Quickness, VwK, Resilent W- (Don't cast Vengeful Weapon you can't stack weapon spells)
2. If Hp drops low cast mend B&S, or Soothing M-.
3. Should be able whipped out 2 Vwk within a Serpent's Q-
4. After 3rd Vwk if spiders haven die cast GenerousWT-, Troll U-, Mend b&S/Soothin M-. Wait for recharge.

As a Rit/R you should be able to survive very long(against 3 spiders) for a Vwk recharge. I have personally casted 5 Vwk for a group of 3 spiders. Cause one of them was healing springing =_=.

After Clearing the entrance stormchaser in near the Dryder and run out. After a while spiders will appear. Always run around to lure them out else they will appear behind your back :P Practice and you will get it.

Recommended weapon set: Brightclaw(20/20 Restoration) and a 20/20 Restoration focus.

If you lured 3 out fight them and get another group aggroed, you should cast TU. TU+RW should let you survive a lot of spiders for some time, to get StormCH. or Khanhei recharged to disaggro them...

Happened to me a lot of times, that when i was killing 1 group that like all the other 10 or so spiders somehow aggroed me and shot at me...

LOL however i am recently busy farming in uw, cos ectos are more expensive. I rather buy shards with $. But nevertheless I think farming fissure beach is much more enjoyable than uw smites (yucky)

Last days i prefer beach farm, because i had like 3 zero runs in UW in a row on one day. Pretty demoraleizing.
And well ecto's are worth more ya, but the majority farms ecto xactly cause that reason. At least it is what i noticed. It is damn hard to buy shards, i never found more like 6 ppl sell 1 or 3 in an hour.
Ectos ppl will throw them after you when u want to buy them .

Just my reasons why i prefer fow atm.

Imo when u already used 3 VwK the Spiders were not Stacked corectly. They only should use HS 1 time and this when u are running up to them. If they use 2 or 3 times it is your decision if u go on try kill em or try to repull for a better stack.
And how i said tanking 15 or more spiders for a whileis possible, but not that 15 spiders are easy to kill or u should start tring with it. My advice are 6 at once.
Because that is the number that is kinda easy to pull at a stack at which they wont use healing spring more then 1 time.

Been doing this for a while now, but i've hit a new problem, where before savage was only used when below 1/3rd hp, i now get it even when above 90% , anybody else finding this?


(To counter this Rt/Me , swap in mantra of resolve and use it a fraction before you use VwK, then turn phys back on, i hightly reccomend putting channeling in there as well, go 9/9 Ill+Insp)

I noticed the savage shot thing too, but theres one thing thats uncounterable its the fact that spiders now cast healing spring while in melee range no idea how to counter this if there is a way.
