I hate how the damn thing moves, the tiny stuttering fluttering hops, the droopy wings. It's annoying to look at. I had one for all of 2 minutes before I got rid of it and went off to find a red crab.

imo they shouldve made the fully leveled phoenix as big as the moa, or even bigger.

i have no complaints bout its features/skin.

You know, Factions is Asian-Themed? If they put a fiery Phoenix, that would ruin it. The Chinese FengHuang would be better in an ASIAN-themed game, right?

saying that only Shing Jea and Kaineng are asian influenced shows a vast hole where knowledge should exist and only continues to permeate the stereotype that all asia is china or something.

Lets list some asian countries: Pakistan, India, Mongolia, Myanmar, Taiwan, North and South Korea, China, Indonesia, The Philippines, Japan, Thailand, Vietnam...Russia. You know...its big..

They could have taken influences and stylings from anything.

Russia spans across both Eastern Europe and Asia.

"Asia" pretty much means "China/Japan/Korea" (or similar neighbering country) when you say something is "Asian Themed".

Just because other countries are in there doesn't mean that is what you are talking about when you say "Asian".

When people say something is "American" they aren't talking about Canada, Mexico, or South American countries/etc....you KNOW they are refering to one specific American country - The United States.

Women put white makeup on...sooo....Alot different than the Goth-wannabe style they gave most Kurzicks. As for the picture, I see little similarity except for the cookie cutter default "make um look Asian" hairstyle and face (one that is basically shared, with some changes, by alot of Kurzick women). And this is soemthing they only tryed to "asian-ify" with the women....Most Kurzick men don't even look Asian, in figure or style (I'll be waiting on you to frantically go and screenshot as many Asian looking Kurzick men as you can to prove that one wrong )

I think the phoenix looks fine, but I went for something less flashy just because I dont go for flash. It's sort of sad to see people being so narrow minded about how a phoenix should look like though.

I wish we could have seen more Middle Eastern qualities but when people say asian they arent usually referring to the middle east even though it is part of the continent.

People everything in the game doesnt have to be like it is in real life. They could have taken the name phoenix and made it a pet rabbit if they wanted to. GUILD WARS IS NOT BASED OF REAL LIFE. With me using the famous caps lock I am saying that guild wars and real life will not be exactly the same or similar at all. For instance you have eastern Asians with a German sounding last name of House zu Heltzer using Gothic Architecture which is sooo not eastern asia style.

To sum it up do not expect qualities of Guild Wars to be near or exactly the same as in real life or real life myth because the devs can do what they want.

I would consider the Ritualists to be a more Middle Eastern aspect of Factions. They certainly aren't the stereotypical Far East Asian... theme. But I do see your point. It's hard to swollow if you think everything is supposed to be a certain way. Still, a lot of people do complain the game is "too Asian." Don't know where people get that from.

As far Asian themed... in what way does a Luxon look Asian?

Shing Jea: Traditional China
Kaineng City: Walled City of Kowloon (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Kowloon_Walled_City)
Echovlad Forest: Germany/Centeral Europe
Jade Sea: Oceania/Southeastern Pacific Rim

Luxons are very southeast asian/oceanian.
