I have 2 ideas that I think would be nice to consider...

OK.....first thing....there are like 20 million bots in every district of Elona Reach, (not literally, but literally about 20), everytime I go there. Now I will say that I farm, however, it is unfair to the people that actually do go through the trouble of getting the skills and actually do the farming manually, when there are bots that do the work for some people, and take all the good drops out of it. I can say that most of the time, it is quite obvious who the bots are, with their names not making sence, (ex: Qrlt), and their armor is usually not dyed, it's the normal blue. I dont' know how to fix it, since I am not the game developer, but there must be something that can be done. Maybe have a certain person stay in each dist of Elona and write the names of the chars that look like bots, and turn them in. That may not work, and it might be a silly suggestion, however, I'm just giving ideas.

Second, I don't think it is fair for Factions chars to be able to have the extra storage when the Prophecies chars can not. I have both games, and when I made a new char recently in Prophecies, I realized I could not get to my materials unless I switched chars and got them out of my material storage area. It makes things more difficult and very unfair to the people who bought the first chapter. I am a big Guild Wars fan... and I think the creators have done a great job, however I just don't agree with the factions chars having a better storage, when everyone knows that EVERYONE needs a bigger storage. I know several people that have a char slot used just for storage, which sucks because it is a waste of a slot.... especially when it could be easily fixed.

I am not sure if anyone else has posted on these things, and I'm sure there have been similar posts, however, it needs to be brought up again. This is ridiculous.....both things I have talked about. Please try to fix this stuff.

I Donthave anu experiance with bots, but i can guess that the reason Anet don't give Prophecies chars the extra storage, is because they are desperate for people to buy Factions, and need the Gimmick. Unfare i know, but beneficial for Guild Wars as a whole, in terms of Anet turning up a profit.

Idea 1) This idea has been brough up before and discussed with much ferocity.

my opinion. waste of a person's time to sit there and report bots.

Its better spent improving their bot detection programs.

Idea 2) Everyone does not need a bigger storage. Stop making generalizations.

Again this topic has been brought up before and Anet's pretty firm about it being a feature of Canthan characters. Its not mandatory, and although it helps, its just one of those things to make you wanna buy factions.

to be fair i do not belive they are bots but just sweatshop gold farmers from china

idea 2 i agree on i realised i had to go to kaineng to get my extra storage even though i bought both chapters and we kind of got the game on its feet by buying first chapter they should show us some gratitude for 15 months of having crap storage space

lol no the "bots" im 99% positive were talking about are the chars that stand in one spot and then after joining a game(automatically i might add)just stand in the spawn point and dont move. this could be partially solved. im gonna use a WoW game mechanic here sadly. when a person has not moved for a certain amount of time, they are kicked. of course this could be fixed by the bot makers(not saying how as to not give idiots ideas lol) obviously that wouldnt completely solve the problem but it may help.

They have already explained why they will not be adding in this storage feature for Prophecies characters, it was an upgrade that they made so that people would buy factions, then they went on to say that they are in a business, so they need to make money. Read up on the Dev Traker forum on the main page, I think one of the staff from Anet had something to say in one of those threads.

The bots in Elona, as far as we know, are being dealt with.

exactly. what a lot of GW players need to realize is that A-Net IS a business. meaning that however nice they may seem by letting us play free lol they are in this to make money. DUH. you sure as hell cant bash them for that either lol. they let us play free which of course is awesome.(the only reason i started playing actually lol)they have to use all the so called "scams" they can to have people buy all of their products and give them money. So i dont really have a problem with the whole prophs people not getting the new thing. as inconvienent as it may seem it is designed to make them money. which in my view is allright. they deserve it fully. im sure as hell not going to apply for a job and when they ask how much i think im worth im not gonna say, "well im pretty good but if you want i can just work for free. O and im gonna supply office materials for the whole staff while im at it free of charge. THANK-YOU for letting me work for you its an honor" HELL NO!! i want my money bi#@$ lol well thats my view, feel free to disagree its a free country.(and a free game coincidentally)

lol....thanks for your input guys, it's been enlightening. I see that GW is made by a company, and I do understand the reason for storage in prophecies. Oh well, I'm glad i have both...tehe..... as for the bots.... I'm still not thrilled about them.
