Can I link my Prophecies account and my Factions account together even though they have already been created?

Do I have to buy another Prophecies account and add it to my Factions account? Will I then lose any characters? If I will, then which ones will it be or do I get to pick?

If I have the amount of character slots that I will lose empty then will it delete the ones with characters on them or not delete any at all?

I have also bought 2 extra characters slot for my Factions account so I have 6 now. Will that make a difference?

You can not merge accounts and Anet has expressed they have no desire to change this. You will have to buy another copy of Prophecies if you want both on one account but you wont lose any characters. You wont lose any slots, you'll actually gain two. You will keep you two extra slots and have a total of 8 after you purchase and apply your new Prophecies key.

You CANNOT link two accounts that have already been created. Sry. Like your examples - there are WAYYYYY too many problems that would come up.


You would have to buy another chapter 1 and link it. Then you'd have:
1 Chapter 1 Account with 4 slots. the one you already have .
1 Chapter 1+CHapter 2 account with 8 slots.

Adding an Access Key to an account provides you 2 additional slots to the account, which would give you a total of 8 slots, considering you havew bought 2.

4 (from factions) + 2 bought + 2 from chapter 1 linkage.
