Who here wants to see more classes added to GW after Nightfall is released?I sure don't want to se any more classes as it is hard enough to but the right balance of group together.I prefer to stick with the core class only.

and i prefer not to stick with one stale recycled set of professions because some players cant keep new additional fun things from getting mixed up.

keep bringing on more variety and fun to spice things up

I hope they have more innovative classes.. not just re-combination of existing ones.

I hope they keep adding more classes. There are still plenty of really creative and fun things they could do that they havn't yet. When the classes start getting boring and uninteresting, then I'll want them to stop.

i think they should add classes, but classes only to that continent. So no Canthan characters in nightfall (ritualist and asassin) unless you traveled there by an addition account.

More classes please. New expansions with no new class are going to be BORING.

yay for new things!

how about a martial arts class - uses only their hands and feet as their weaspons
or an fantasy engineer type class - instead of pets, they get mini catapults, balista's and cannons

i'd still like to see immense 2 handed weapons - eg. 2 handed swords, scythes (like the dervish), poleaxes, halbeards and thrown weapons like knives =)

No new classes please.

One day, some time in the future, all the people asking for new classes now will be complaining as the problems with adding new classes start to manifest themselves.

Problems with adding new classes every 6 months:
1. More work for the developers means less time/money/effort potentially spent on other content, such as PvE. I'd rather play through a fantastic PvE game with my current character, than a crap one with a new character.
2. Harder and harder to find a certain class for a group, as the population becomes more divided into different classes, vis-à-vis monks. All they can do to combat this, is provide classes like the ritualist that can help a bit with keeping people alive. You'll all be complaining when you have a 1 in 12 chance of getting a monk in your party of 8 because there are 12 different classes trying to complete the missions.
3. Frustrating for people who want to try the new classes in PvE. It means you can spend less and less time on each character. I'd much prefer to work on making one character the best I can, than making 8 characters average. I want to roleplay a character. With all these expansions, it's more like a new game every time, with a new character in a new location. Either make an expansion, or make a new game. Don't try to do both or you end up alienating someone. This is related to the problem with the populations being separated, so districts in earlier chapters will become empty.
4. It gets harder and harder to balance the skills with each other as the possibilities expand exponentially. You'll all be complaining to ANerf when your favourite Prophecies skill gets nerfed in order to stop it being too powerful when used with a skill from a new class.
5. The new classes are a gimmick designed to get you all excited and think it will be worth buying a new chapter just to gain access to the new class. If it had a monthly fee, they could just release new areas, but in order to justify paying for a new game, they have to add something else. It's the result of a flawed business model.

But enjoy your new classes anyway.

i'd prefer new skills (read: extensions to existing classes) to new classes. further classes will be, in essence, specialisations/dillutions of existing classes IN THAT the classes we have at this point in time really do cover all areas, and then some. plus we have dervish & paragon coming in...

for example, i wouldn't want to see more warrior-like warrior classes, or less monk-like monk classes and so forth...

instead of adding new classes...they should probably make chapters with monster characters or like animals you can use, for example warriors or rangers can ride on pet horses or other fantasy animals. and it would be nice to be able to use them to travel places

I think in total of 10 classes are enough for 2006-2007.

Monks aren't the only healing class. You didn't even need one in Prophecies.

I'm not sure what you mean by that. You do need a monk in Prophecies, and another class couldn't heal you, unless it used its monk secondary.

If they make a class to use instead of a monk, they're probably rehashing an old class and making it slightly different. -.-
