Grandmaster Cartographer - Make It Count Up Over Characters

I could be mistaken in believing that Grandmaster Cartographer doesnt count up between Characters, if youve achieved the max title on two characters.

For instance the way in which you can have Tyrian Protector (2), because two of your characters have achieved it.

I dont understand why Tyrian or Canthan Grandmaster Cartographer doesnt follow the same rule.

Every other title apears to, to my knowledge.

I just think it would be nice if you could run around with Tryain Grandmaster Cartographer (2) or (3).

No titles "count up over characters" in the manner you describe.

Do they not?

I was under the impression they did, because Im certain I saw a player with "Tyrian Protector (2)", suggesting that they counted how many of your characters had completed that skill at max level!

I must be mistaken.

Either way, if they dont.... it would be cool if they did!

I think it would be cooler if they took off the (1) part of titles that didn't have a 2nd tier. =)

The number in parenthesis (#) indicates which tier of that title you have achieved on that particular character.

Drunkard (1)
Incorrigible Ale Hound (2)

Protector of Tyria (1) and Protector of Cantha (1) are the only things you will see as there is no tier for those titles.

Cartographers have multiple tiers, 5 I believe. Check wiki or the guides on this site for the levels. The number behind it shows which tier you have completed/are on.

No need to show number of characters or make those particular title account based instead of character based.

The suggestion didn't even mention having "two characters unlocking 100% of the map when he actually hasn't done it" Read carefully please.

The OP is suggesting that Grandmaster titles should have additional tiers. But that's beased on whether him seeing Tyrian/Canthan Protector at tier 2 was actually true or not.

what he is asking for is that if you have one character with grandmaster, the title would be:
Quote:
"Tyrian Grandmaster Cartographer (1)"
if you had two characters with that, the title would show:
Quote:
"Tyrian Grandmaster Cartographer (2)"
and so on.

Basically, he wants the title to show how many characters have 100% of the map cleared.

Ok, so there is/was obviously some confusion to what I asked, so this might clear it up...

I already have 100% on both and I already have both protectors on my ele.

What im saying was, I was under the impression that if I was to achieve all those max titles on my Necro aswell. Then both protector titles would have a (2) at the end suggesting that two characters had achieved those titles.

Like a count accross your characters.

And I was suggesting that would be a cool thing for the exploration titles too. To show that more then one of your characters had achieved the max titles.

Understand?

Well your previous post was somewhat vague, it was more like "Isn't that what it is supposed to do?" versus "I think it would be cool if it would do this"

So now we know that it does not put a (2) at the end currently or any other number based on the number of characters on that account to achieve them.

So that being all cleared up and all on the same page:

/notsigned

Titles aren't supposed to be for that purpose. The are to display achievements for the character you are playing if the title is character based, or account based. Carto and Protector are very much specific to the character and I don't see much point in it showing how many have achieved it across your account.

I understand what your saying.

And I agree its not hugely needed.

But I think there are times when it would be of benefit to others to know how many times a person has achieved protector of tyria or cantha, or similar titles.

It would be another way to try and weed out those who have actually played their way through the game, compared to those who get run around missions and bonus'.

Ofcourse thats assuming those who have achieved titles like protector more then once, wont have been run. This could be mistaken.

Plus its not a perfect idea because it might cause people to only select those persons who have high counts on titles.

But I still think it would be cool, and a good indication of ability.
