About 8C lower on idle, 5C lower on load.

The GPU is 20C lower and GPU diode ~18C lower. The case itself has lowered din about 5C.

It really wasn't what I was expecting since I paid a lot for these parts... well I cheaped out on the tubing, I mean tubing is tubing right?

EDIT: I forgot to my the rubber lining on the CPU waterblock my first time around, and it leaked all over my top graphics card. No damage at first, but I woke up I saw strange warping artifacts on my screen which lead me to believe there was a huge leak overnight. But there wasn't and everything seems to be fine now... gonna let it run for a bit long to test the temps

*AMD Athlon 64 6000+ w/ Thermaltake Mini Typhoon heatsink.

*320MB 8800GTS (Soon to be G92 512 GTS)

*Seagate 7200rpm 320gig Hard Drive

*ECS GeForce 7050M-M Motherboard (Crap I know)

*2GB of Kingston Hyper-X Gaming Ram.

*Antec 500w power supply

And a Lian Li PC-7B Plus II w/ black finish.

Gets the job done for me, I know the blue lights may be cheesy or whatever, but they were the only 3 speed ones (Change speeds with a switch!) that the store had, so I didn't hesitate.

I also seriously need a new desk, but I'm moving soon so that is all about to change.
I use that same exact keyboard

Really nice setup. Im still a sucker for blue lights on comps

Hehe yeah it's a nice cheap keyboard, went through two of them already but don't plan to buy any others, I don't really trust paying upwards 50$ for keyboards, too many potential accidents.

And I'm glad you like my system, elegant and simple is the way to go!

Also, neat Admael.

Though that really sucks about the leak, It'd be an annoying loss if your card went out.

What do they use in Liquid Cooled systems anyways? I can't imagine it being something that conducts electricity like water.. imagine a spill.

@ Brianna, pure water does not conduct electricity.

I use 90% distilled water, 8% algaecide, 2% anti-freeze + UV sensitive dye.

Oh, well that is awesome, didn't know that.

I remember when I spilled tap water on my desk and it went through the top vent on my computer.

By luck nothing was damaged.

I was going to put my FX-60 Toledo into a mineral oil cooled tanked because it doesn't emit that much heat, but I decided not to... the FX-60 is my love.

There's a lot of imitation out there, using vegetable oil and baby oil (which is essentially mineral oil + fragrance). But that kinda stuff can go rancid real fast.

Plus I don't like the idea of every heat generating part of my computer sharing the same medium, especially when theres no actual active cooling.

i've not seen temp numbers on a mineral oil cooled rig, but I can add this...

the transformers atop utility poles are filled with it(don't ask..long story) so it must have some decent cooling properties.

Yeah, heavily refined mineral oil. I think it's primarily to absorb/insulate electric discharge.

You're right about the cooling property, no doubt. But you have to remember that the heat has to go somewhere. With active cooling, you have fans that actually move the hot air away from your system, with oil... it's just sitting there, you might as well be cooking your components.

With -dx8 -noshaders and a RAM upgrade It'll run ok with the stock 512, but it can't handle any of the main cities, crashes to desktop if you stay in Kamadan, Kaineng for more than a minute or so.

I just got my other rig set up..

*AMD Sempron 3200+ @ 1.8Mhz (lol)

*NForce 4-A754 (another lol)

*X2 512MB of some average RAM

*Nvidia GeForce 8600GT

*Two old IDE Hard Drives

*Broken mouse and broken keyboard

*Crappy average case

I might post pics later for fun, but it's really no eye candy. Needs a new monitor though.. it's crap CRT can only run 1080Xblah blah and it bothers me to no end.

Really it was just a project, didn't make it for practical use, maybe people can use it when they come over to my house because no one is allowed to touch my real computer.

Just half-upgraded my computer, still awaiting the funds for a better card and more hd space. Yay for 8800's recent price dropping!

New specs:
Intel Quad Q6600 @ 3.00 (AC Freezer 7, Idle 24c / Load 41c)
4gb Corsair DDR2 800
250gb Seagate
ATI X850 XT (upgrading to 8800 gt soon)
22" Chimei
...and some other stuff that makes everything else work (too plain / obvious to list)

GW has never been better!

Guild Wars was the first game I played on this rig when I built it:

BIOSTAR TForce4SLI NF4SLI 939
VGA SPPHIRE A X850 XT 256M 100106RD
2G CORSAIR D400
250G WD 7200 SATA2 16MB WD2500KS
ANTEC P180 SILVER CASE
OCZ 520W PSU
MS WINDOWS XP PRO X64
AMD 64 |3700+ ATHLON 64 939P
SOUND BLASTER|AUDIGY 2 ZS
LOGITECH|CORDLESS DSKTP S 510
DVD BURNER LITEON|SHW160P6S04 BK R
CREATIVE Inspire P7800 7.1

It's over two years old now, but it still runs new games without any trouble. Which is good because I just bought a house and can't afford to be throwing money away on computer parts

my messy desk

i also had to get a new mouse yesterday, since my g5 broke when a chocolate nugget got stuck in the lazer hole..and for some reason it fckd up my mouse, so i bought one that has somewhat the shape of my comp.

My 22 inch is coming so I'll re-post my system which is now in my office (long story).

Most likely gonna try to get a better picture of it this time though, and not with a broken Camera.

The power supply looks pretty normal to me, maybe the rest of the case is small, that's why.

I've never seen anyone sit two DIMMs like that.

I thought the same, doesn't look like it's capable of fitting normally into a standard box. Why on earth they would make a power supply that big, beats me.

I'm still trying to get pictures of my computer, looks a bit nicer in here. Just can't get the stupid camera working how I want it too, and I'd rather not take the pictures at night, but oh well.

Shame on all of you for having the sides of your PCs open. That ruins air current inside, and creates stagnant pockets of hot air. Put the sides back on your cases and get high quality fans, positioned correctly. Shame shame shame!

I took the sides off so you can see the inside, otherwise they are always on.

Also I'm cheap and use onboard sound, and my main PC has a micro ATX motherboard for now so I'm short on PCI slots, it's like half a motherboard -.-. I'll get a new one soon though.

And those fans are the Antec 3 speed, they are pretty high quality/fast, but I keep them on medium right now cause they are too loud on high, can hear my computer when it's this close on my desk.

I was going to say! Where's the rest of your motherboard xD
For 120mm case fans, I'd only buy Zalman (moves the most air) or Yate Loon (best price, but doesn't move as much air).

If you decide to keep that board, you could buy the Antec 180B Mini case, it's a cute case, my choice for a microATX chassis
