Gaile gray and her meetings

Now i know gaile is pretty busy when in the meetings trying to answer all teh questions. But is she neglcting other needs? I say yes for during her meetings ive been dissconected during her meets over 10 times over the past year or so and once i asked a question and she was about to answer and i was dissconected now i know this is not internet for after i was dissconted i checked my internet and it was fine. I know this might not be gailes fault it might be someone esle at GW but it seems that this only happenes when she has meetings and even if im not in them. If this is not gailes fault im still very mad for someone at GW central has been neglacting this problem and if u think its only me think again. I was once GvGing with my guild and gailes meeting started and all of us were dissconted!


All tho this doesnt have to do with the topic i was recently suspned for 24 hours because i said some bad things about Gaile. I shouldnt have done that for i was vey frustated because i was in gailes meeting and i was dissconted :,( so gaile if you are reading this i would like to say im very sry.

She must have some kind of...ward...

Friend list FTW! Usually it has her as Do Not Disturb - and even when it doesn't its best not to start spamming her like a fanboy with floating hearts for eyes.

When she is on and it says Do Not Disturb, you can almost bet on 1 of 3 places:
Lion's Arch
Sheng Jea Monostary
Kienang City
ALWAYS international districts and usually in D1 unless people get wind of her showing up and over crowd the place and then she will hop to D2 (rarely happens tho).



To the OP - Sir count your lucky stars that it is only during her chats -_- While she was on, I wasn't even in THERE and I err7'd twice within about 10-20mins of each other. Neither of us are alone in this. Everytime I relogged back on I saw at least one other person who had been kicked at the same time as I and they were usually from her chat.
I cannot even play GW for all the error 7s that occur, so if it only happens during her chats, then count yourself lucky and deal or dont go lol. Otherwise so for the unfortunate err smack upside the head and the further salt in the wounds when you cannot get back into the bloody district when it happens >_< (been there too)

It's never a good idea to spam Gaile (or any player for that matter) in-game, since that's against the EULA. If you choose to do it anyway, there will be consequences. I have recently heard of an entire guild that has been group-banned for harassing Gaile in-game. So, word of the wise, don't do it!

perhaps the err7's are occurring because a certain dist starts getting flooded plus everyone trying to get in but can't because it's full

it's like a dist can only so much in and out activity......

on a related note, is she still going to towns and talking to ppl? I haven't seen a chat log in ages.....

Gaile should learn how to use the ignore feature on her friends list like the rest of us.

Oh wait, there's only 10 people you can ignore??? Well, now there's something Anet can fix now. Gaile will have firsthand experience.

:P nono. Gaile Gray is the PR (Public Relations) spokesperson for the Guild Wars staff. Sometimes she'll appear with her lvl 7 ranger in towns in game and talk to players about the state of the game or hint at upcoming features. She'll also sometimes post on this forum and others when people are getting moody or misinterpretting things. She's nice enough, but some ppl obsess over her and take everything she says to be the word of god almost :O

Community Relations. Sorry, that distinction matters to me. PR deals with press. CR gets to interact with the players. You can tell which job I greatly prefer. I'm very proud of the relationship between the studio and the player base and I wouldn't change my role for anything!

Gaile is an angel, doing her best with the limited resources Anet gives her. Answering our questions to the best of her ability.

Anyways, back on topic. I have heard of this mysterious lag issue when Gaile comes on, but I have yet to experience it myself. No one in LBS ever had it, but some of my past guilds and now recent guilds have had this issue.

Catching Gaile Gray ingame is not easy. Usually by the time you notice she's online, the district she's in is full.

If you have questions to ask her, (I'm surprised she didn't mention this in her reply in this thread) I believe she would want you to post it on a fansite, like this one. I was going to mention that she does read these forums, but I guess her post makes that point.

Another point that her post made, that I wanted to say is this: If you want a response from Gaile Gray, refer to her as PR. It never fails. Everywhere I've seen people make that mistake, whether it's ingame with her or here, she seems to make the correction.

Anyways, post your question and either people who know will answer, or hopefully, someone from ANet will give some guidance.

BTW, and off-topic: Has anyone else found themselves typing "guild" when they meant to type "guide" or something similar ? It's getting annoying.

Gaile im glad u read my article but u still did not asnwer my question. why are so many ppl being dissconted from GW during ur meetings I posted anthor thread b4 about the lag even if not when ur meetings take place. There basically is lag evrywhere and any time during my play in GW i know for a fact that this is not a problem caused by my comp because ive had comutor experts such as the geek squad check out my comuter and they said it was fine, its the game. Now as i said this might not be ur fault but plz look into fixing this.

I have her on my friendlist for like 4 months now, and I've only seen her online once. times please

Am I allowed to PM her asking of her location so I can catch the latest news, or will I get megabanned for it?

LOL I am not her keeper hun, I just pop open my list like everyone else to see who is on and sometimes she is, and sometimes she isn't. *shrugs* I don't think she has any set times but you can bet that anytime there is an interesting update she will be on shortly there after. Or if there is an event coming up she will show up a few times before, during, and after the event.
I typically don't go chasing her around the game even when she is on - I've been to about 5 of her chats and only ONCE did she answer one of my questions/suggestions (1 vs 1 before it was implimented).

There are so many people that come there and spout of some of the dumbest crap that its really hard to not just get your question seen but answered, so I typically avoid and wait for the edited version to be posted.

Mrscoombes, I doubt you will get banned for messaging her. If you message her to cuss her out... thats another story lol. But if you start spamming her questions and she doesn't respond you might get banned... Spamming is bad mmk ^_^
