Scamming bot?

Okay, so I logged onto my warrior who was in LA, and I immediatly got invited to a party to a player named EDIT who opened up my trade window and showed me a PERFECT fellblade. Req 9, sundering 20/20, hp+30. He wisper spammed me saying "65K ok???", numerous times, then I said just to see if he was for real "I'll buy it for 50K" (you would too, you know it.). He then closed the trade window and put up a fellblade, but this time it was a clean 14-20 dmg fellblade. I'm assuming the bot program read the inputed values to haggle, as we made no other conversation other than "60K Okay??" and other such phrases. I'm also assuming that the bot program closed the trading window to avoid the new alert message to check the item after a trade has been updated.

I am putting this out here as a warning to all you unsuspecting buyers out there, to beware of this scam. A good and easy way to detect a bot is to try to have a conversation with the person. And of course ALWAYS CHECK THE ITEM.

Thank you for your time

If you go to complicated they dont know what your saying they also cant/wont speak english good.

That doesn't account for the person putting a different sword in the window though.

sigh.... shame to see my culture is being dissed like this, but i guess that can't be helped, given all that has happened... farmers, scammers, botters...

why can't they just stay in taiwan district so they can at least communicate well....

but yeh, as a rule of thumb always triple check the items you are buying...

The reason i said asians i typed in my post: They cant/wont speak english.
Americans & Europeans on american server will most of the time talk english, Most Americans and Europeans CAN speak english.

BTW Bots dont have conversations with you, they may have some preset messages but they dont have conversations with you , like the person i typed about did.

Before anybody starts cursing at me, im not saying asians cant speak english ( my friend would kill me if i said that) Im just saying they are more comfortable with their own language , like we all are, they just dont move away from it to make it easy for us that fast.

Settle down and get off your high horse. No one was making fun of you, so don't take it as a direct blow to the entire asian population.

Come on Burn Butt! You know exactly what they mean. Being ably to use proper grammar and being able to speak at least a little English are totally different things and you know it.

Although I do understand your frustration at these types of topics.

Yeah being chinese myself it annoys the hell out of me all these (most likely) chinese ebay gold farmers come around and try to force an item on me. They always come up to me and try to open a trade window and then blurt out 2-3 times "50K OK". Bad enough that they bother me with junk, but do they have to use such a ridiculous phrase? 50K OK...... 30K OK......... sigh. Anytime I see somebody say something like that, I just ignor them it's so annoying and being from the same culture.... just embarrasing.

On another note, not all chinese traders are bad. Going to LA and Droks is like visiting a night market. Can find almost anything you'd need and for fairly cheap as most of them are fighting each other to sell their junk lol.

LOL I've met one of these guys too, I think it could be a scam bot, yeah.

BTW, I LOVE Chinese Farmers. They don't haggle, they always have what you want, and they're usually willing to sell it to you at a relatively good price.

Int district in Augury FTW!

I'm not all worked up and in need of settling down.... I don't take issue with people and their personal preference when it comes to dealing with international traders... Simply put, it's just funny to me when someone says that people that don't speak english as their first language "don't speak english good."
