Spirit Wood Planks on the rise!

This thread is not about Nightfall so don't move it. Prices of Spiritwood Planks are on the rise. It was somehow leaked that the rare material will be used in Dervish armor. It sucks for me because i just spent all my money on 15k armor. Spiritwood was at 100 this morning and now its at 150. It has never been that high which leads me to believe that a lot of ppl are buying it. i hope it doesn't go to high like steel did when Factions came out. I wanna make money off it too.

and I'm not near gw.. I"d love to sell those useless bits of wood off.

Sounds like economy baiting to me.... Invest in alot of Spiritwood?

Remember what happenned with rubies and saphires?

If anything just buy up now and sell the day before the game releases if your worried about it dropping.

Here's my personal take on it:

A guild or alliance, probably large in number, starts crafting huge ammounts of Spirit Wood Planks. Then, they start spreading around a rumor about Nightfall, and Dervish armor. Its makes some little ammount of sense, so instantly the rumor is believed by the masses to be true, and everyone starts buying spirit wood. Thus driving the price up on a pretty much worthless item. After the price is rediculously high, the guild starts selling their cheaply made wood for a huge profit.

And thus the scam goes on, until Nightfall comes out and everyone bought all that wood in advance for nothing.

I will personally buy all your spiritwood for 100g each!

it is probably because, now that we have material storage there is no reason to sell any junk untill it hits 250. That is why my spirit wood just sits.

Fortunately you can craft spiritwood planks so they can't go high enough.

I have other rare materials to craft now, will worry about the spirit wood if I need it.....got a bunch from the elite weekend and up in haju lagoon too...now back to elonian squares....

Exactly. You can craft Spiritwood Planks for 5 Wood, 10 Glittering Dust and 100 gold.

Since both Wood and Glittering Dust are plentiful, I highly doubt that the cost of a Spiritwood Plank would ever exceed 250 gold.
