Terra Xin
omg have you guys seen the box cover for the collectors edition??? That chick loos totally awesome!!
Knightsaber Sith
Saw it weeks ago when it was first announced from the GWFC..... and in case you're wondering, it's a Dervish not a Paragon.
natuxatu
i hope my CE gets delayed so I get a new minpet ^^ just kidding.. sort of..
General Fogg
either way, i am not going to be able to get it when it first comes out. i am going to be underway (in the navy). so i am going to have to get it when i get back. thinking ingame store to do that. i'm worried about the game, no emotes or anything like that. that's just me, though.
Leprecon
Me want CE
KoalaMeatPie
I have both CEs, I am not going to stop now, And BTW which is the best Site to order the Nightfall CE as to have it when it comes out?
(The others where off eBay and gameBuzz Retail store)

I pre ordered my CE with EB Games a few weeks ago. I never had a problem with them personally.
KoalaMeatPie
Yes, but anywhere else? Anywebsite with mail in orders?
Frio
I can't wait until Nightfall CE comes out :P I figure, giving an extra 20 bucks to keep my fav. game online is a good enough reason :P:P But I do love all that extra stuff! lol

Thank You.
I am now the "proud" owner of Nightfall CE.
Hopefully you will be able to "stack" the Emotes (Example: /dance [Enter] /dancenew)
Wait, Ships the 26th? 5-7 days Journey... Darn. I had my Factions CE scince the start of the Pre - Order weekened, Could you guys still play Factions untill it arrived 2 weeks later?

No word if they'll do the same with Nightfall. There was so much bitching about the whole thing last year, I wouldn't be surpried if they decided not to.

the preorder *early start* was 24 hours only.
they had a *grace period* which extended the number of days before it shut off the Factions content if you didnt add a Factions retail key

End result: a five day(?) "free play" for those who had the pre-order.

only free if you were able to cancel your order and did not purchase the game.
since you paid for the game and not a set number of days it wasnt free extra days if you bought it.
how about that for splitting hares (roast rabbit)?
smokesilver
yeah, CE looks tempting

No info yet on what comes ingame? This is kinda disappointing since preorders will soon start being delivered... come on Alex/Gaile, people are waiting on info to decide which version to preorder!

personally, I am paying the extra $20 for the art book, the other stuff is bonus. |
Never pay RL $ for ingame features that don't affect gameplay.
More skills = worth it.
Flashy emote = not worth it.
Mousemat, Art book (since they only releasee the artwork there), skillpins, soundtrack, DVD of behind the scenes, etc. = worth it
Headset = not worth it since you can just get a GW sticker and put it on a headset yourself.
Anything paper that can just be printed is not worth it...

Again I voice my opposition to any special emote, particularly Divine Aura, in the ingame store!
Vortex Elegy
The CE will be here, no matter what.
I don't really care what's inside, be it a mousemat, calender, pillow, wuppy of pogostick. The reason I'm gonna buy the CE is because I am a collector, and I want stuff that not everybody has. The price really is no problem, since I have a full-time job. Besides, it just looks cool, three CE's on my shelve

Would be nice to get an official answer to this sometime soon. Was going to order the CE + Prerelease pack combo, but not sure I want the CE yet. Well prerelease pack is out now in stores, so first opportunity missed.
The earlier you preorder for many places the better likelyhood you are to be in the first shipment in case they don't have enough stock for all orders. Not knowing the answer to this is potentially delaying the arrival of the game for some people.
I will only get the CE if it includes an ingame emote or dance or something special. All the extra stuff in the box isn't that important to me, I want something to enjoy in game. The stuff in the box is just bonus on top of that.

Anet's not going to stroll in here and tell us. I'd say in all likely hood; we wont know for sure until someone gets their CE box and tells us. Or maybe Anet will update the "and more" section of the contents list a week before it goes live.

It seems to be always something with Anet: the Factions CE debacle, and now the lack of info on a new dance emote for NF. I'm with Cherno on this. If there's no dance emote, I'm not buying the CE. IMO, they're shooting themselves in the foot by not answering the question.
Customers want info, not vague hints.

do you know if anyone capped gaile saying that?
youd think ANet'd LEAST be like "yadda yadda, special emote mystery, but yes special emote, buy plz"

Try looking through GWO; they seem to get most Gaile chat's logged.

So basically you walk into the store and ask for it, pay your money, and you get it. No fuss no muss no putting down a deposite to reserve your copy of CE. I just bought my bonus pack for $5. So basically, all you had to do was walk into a store a buy it if you wanted it. If you didn't, well that'd be your own fault for the missed opportunity
|
But now that the packs are in stores, no need to do that since I can get them at the store if I can find it in town (unlikely). You didn't understand what I wrote.
Former Ruling
I agree that the extra content would probably retail for over the 20 bucks you'll be paying for it. Skill Pins alone are probably MSRP of like 5 bucks each, and in today's day and age you can expect to spend 20 bucks just for a 124 page book..
But what it boils down to is people dont want "crap" to clutter their room 90% of the time...They want INGAME proof that they spent the 20 bucks so they can have emotes and such the "scrubs" dont have.

Art book and badges! i want to nerd up my room even more

Former Ruling said it, my Canthan map got used infrequently if at all, and only when Factions first came out. Now unless some uber announcement of ingame feature is made for the CE I won't be buying it, hell even the novelty of the dances are wearing off now, SE for me this time I think.
