Nightfall Pets

Anybody know what the "new" pets will be for the Ranger Pets?

Think Africa and Mideast Persia area.

SO im thinking the following possible Pets
Lion
Snake (Cobra?)
Lama (does no damage but provides extra storage)
Camel (Does Spitting ranged attacks that causes blindess for 1-5 seconds)
Jackel
Scorpion

I think the lion is a definite possibliltiy. Also, the elephant is probably one of the the most prevalent species native to Africa. But I'm not sure it translates well to the ranger/pet relationship. Maybe hippopotamus. :P

Given some of the jungle areas, I'm gonna go with monkey.

unless they add in koalas or playtpi i dont think any new pets will top the Crab.

^ top the crab with a sword fish you can store in your bage and take it our as a weapon...now that would be better

But really the monkey would be great

They already showed the crocodile in the Factions video.

Rangers are lucky... they get a hero slave AND a pet.

And to use a pet decently you have to use half your skillbar!
Hmm... hero slaves with pets! that's 4 characters for 1!

We don't know it it's charmable, though.

Hey, just to let you know, coming from Africa and all, those aren't exactly the "big 5". the big five are actually: The Lion, Leopard, Rhino, Elephant and Buffalo. Just to let you know, im not flaming you or anything. Pretty sure they will have the Lion as a tamable pet, but im not really sure about the elephant. I mean, they are pretty huge, might make nice tanks tho...

you guys only talk about the ground and "regular" creatures, what about mytical and flying creatures =D. ***Sphinx****should be a definate. also vultures maybe...dunno wat type of exotic birds they have in africa

a platypus would definitly make me drop my beloved dune lizard unfortunatly, nightfall is all about africa, not australia

as for nightfall, crocodiles, lions and hyenas may very well be there..
i bet we'll see an ostrich, too, i don't think they'll resist to put a bird in the game again, after the moa bird and the crane

According to Stephen Colbert, the amount of elephants have tripled. Therefore, I feel that we will get Elephants as pets. Personally, I will name mine after him.

i think this, no elephants becuase of their size. as for what others i have no idea, but i beleive that we will get a crocodile as well.

I just love the shift away from "fictionally" animals like the dune lizard, stalker, and Moa.
Now in Nightfall people are hoping for there "RL" equivalents. Crocs, hyianas, and osterichs.
