Does anyone have any suggestions/builds/guides to beating this guy as an E/Me? I keep getting taken down by his outragous 200 damage bow (and I have Drok's armor...)
I've been using things like Flare/Fireball/Firestorm/Meteor and I've no luck thus far...

best for ele is to max out fire/water and spam flare/ ice spear, and take iron mist, and leave the other 6 spaces blank. Doppelganger will use iron mist to make you immune to its damage, while you spam your skill, just DONT use iron mist yourself. Easy kill in 10 secs with icespear (16 water), flare is a few seconds more.

i ran this e/me skillbar for doppelganger, it took a little under 4 seconds. order from left->right is important.

how its done:
the second youre in combat target and cast backfire, then run up to him and nail Inferno. watch EXP messages pop up. btw, dont worry about damage... he will use iron mist on you without any lightning spells, heh.

I don't think this iron mist thing works at all. I've had nothing but flare and iron mist in my skill bar, and he never once casted iron mist (this is after multiple tries!).

I just hit level 14, got some skills from the guy in Amnoon Oasis. I don't know the skills' names very well, so I'll just do one of these...

Doppelganger was easy enough to kill. I ran Flare, Fireball, Immolate, Rodgorts Inv, Meteorshower.
He started out with meteor shower so I just spammed the first 3 skills and he was dead in no time
Problem was I didn't really pay attention when I got there and only realised what happened when it was over

There was an observation made by someone that the doppelganger generally spams the skills in order, so as you see in Amon's skillbar, Backfire is last. There's your key to beating the guy.

I loaded my skill bar with attunements first and then fireball, meteor shower (make sure you move out of the way if he shoots MS) phoenix, and another point blank fire spell.
Load fire attunement before you enter and then you can hit your fire spells to kill him while he is still casting attunements.
I also went back in and tried it just with my regular spell line up and it worked just as effectively just needed to use timing for the spells
The attunement method was faster though and I took very little if any damage.

Exactly, that's how I got him...although he managed to get my health quite low as well.
