ELITEISM DISABLED WEEKEND for PvP

ITS NOOB WEEKEND!

I would like to have a PvP RANK emotes disabled some weekend to get more people involved in HA teams to enjoy the expiriance! This way people who have no rank have a better chance to get into a HA team and earn some rank.

Just imagine teams getting into HoH based on skill and not what emote you can do. Especialy since most HA teams are EMOTE members only teams.

Guildies FTW.

Can we have one for PvE too? My mesmer wants a group.

This event has been a success so far IMO.

The "noobs" are having fun because they get to group with others in the same boat.

The "leets" are having fun because they get to pwn all the noobs.

In order to reduce the amount of elitism, since rank is a measurement of time, not skill (iway, vim, etc) maybe arenanet should wipe fame and rewrite a rank system. Oh wait, nevermind, arenanet gets paid specifically for making idiots and exploiters win instead of the good players. Even the guild ladder means nothing nowadays.

/signed for making arenanet give us a real skill balance that doesnt involve skills that nerf complete builds.
/signed for resetting rank, or disabling it for a period of time.
/signed for adding individual district classes for specific ranks (rank 3+ district, rank 6+, etc)

Vaxmor, if you can't join r9+ and there are no r 0 around because they were shoved away by r9+ how the hell do you join?

First, I'd assume you are low ranked and are complaining about not getting into groups.
Second, that would just make making a PUG group harder. You'd pick someone up, first judge them on their armor and weapon choices. Then, if they sucked in your first run, they get kicked, and you repeat the process.
However much people may say otherwise, Rank IS a good indication of skill, in most cases. You may deny it, but I sure have had better times with R9+ teams than R0 teams.

Quit crying and go play ViMway. You can get R3 in about 5 hours of straight play, and go join whatever the hell group you want.

At this stage I'm unsxure of how disabling the rank emotes/titles would affect HA. So I'll support for ANET to disable them for a weekend or so just to see what happens, as long as they still let you earn fame during it and restore it afterwards.

ANET could even sneak it in with another update and call it a bug

After this event, rank 3 is like nothing, due to the short amounts times it requires to get it. lol you'll be suprised on the amount of noobs in r3 pugs.

Oh and there are PLENTY of unranked groups going around. So I don't see what the problem is.

even asuming there are no rank0 players in GW - there is always the alliance and guild resources to draw upon.

assuming there are no rank0 players, no guilds and no alliances in guild wars, theres always the possibility of making a friends list.

btw - I just went to HA and asked to join an unranked group - it took me <1minute to be pmed:

to be fair, *cough* ebay *cough.* I played with this one guy who had rank 9, but couldn't figure out where to cap relics on unholy temples.

Hehe, all the noob harassers will start to give a damn if their beloved Zero Skill PVP, aka as HA PVP lacks any teams to play against because all the starters were driven away and the other Teams quitted out of boredom.
Planetside had that happen and the developers had to give out free testing weeks so some new players would join - to be driven away by the elitist crowd again.

You won't give a damn now, but you will in the future.
