15k Luxon armor, looks like shells?

I have just bought some tank armor from a chap called Mikolas at Leviathan Pits. The armor has now been dyed black and looks very shell like, so my question is what is the armor made from, is it tortoise shell?

Well, I'd say it would be made from Scales and Chitin?

post a pic plz? lol and yes i would think following some storyish things that luxon armor would be made from sea items... or something like that

Jade + Chitin + scales=Shellesque look

The Luxons are all about sea life. Regardless of the crafting materials, it's obvious that some armors like Luxon Ranger armor are made from the shells of turtle like creatures.

When you move the armor kinda glistens as the light changes, almost like the inside of a shell...

Seeing your picture I'm glad I dyed mine silver, not black. White lines look better
I'd say the armour is made to resemble fish or other marine animals, so scales would be a natural option. The spikes look like coral, the helmet kinda reminds me of some kinda jellyfish (not sure why, maybe because the 1,5k helmet does) and the armour itself is full of tiny shells and pearls.

Well I think it's very evil looking.

I think Kurzick armor is just ugly ...... this 15K luxon armor is very asain oriented though.... And im an asain ;-)...The way i see it kurzicks are europeans and luxons are asains. The only thing i would change a little is the helm... i think it needs to pop out a little more. Also i dyed mine blue and silver, although the blue dosen't so all that often when its bright outside....
