I'm just wondering, and I'm not sure whether this has been addressed somewhere else, so feel free to delete this if it has. But what's up with certain AB maps? Whenever Kurzicks get pushed back to Grenz or Ancestral Lands (esp. Grenz), it takes forever to get into a battle? It's not as bad when the battle's at Etnaran (which I seem to fight there most).

has been addressed, and no one has a definitive answer for you. tons of conjecture, though.

on a side note, some work should be done on GWG's "advanced" search function.. you can't even choose subforums etc. to limit the search to?! :/

Basically, on Saltspray beach, it's pretty even. When it pushes back, it's more difficult for a certain Faction (more difficult for Kurzicks on Etnaren Keys, Kanaai Canyon, more difficult for Luxons on Grenz Frontier and Ancestral Lands). So, the Faction that it's harder on has less drive to play, because it's harder to win their Faction for contribution/convert to Jade/Amber.

Yeah but the Kurzicks still play even on the deep Luxon map. Whereas as soon as the Luxons get into deep Kurzick territory it seems like they all stop playing. Or maybe it's just supply and demand, it could be there were far too many Kurzicks wanting to push the line back.

I was having to wait upwards of 10 mins for a Luxon opponent to join.

Maybe the Luxons are just to scared to play on a map that favors the Kurzicks.

I am a Luxon and have the same problem when the Kurzichs have pushed right into Luxon territory, you have to wait for a long time to have an oposing party, its really anoying. Its probably because most Luxons at that time are thinking "ooohh easy er to get Faction" and Kurzichs are thinking "ooohh harder to get Faction... lets do somethign esle for a while", same other way when Luxons push into Kurzich territory.

I was Luxon before I changed guilds a few days ago. I can seriously tell you the wait is a hell of alot longer for Kurzicks than it is for Luxons at any time. But I really think it's more due to the fact that theres generally more Kurzicks in the districts. At the time I usually play (I'm Aussie) there was about 10 - 15 people in the American and Internationsal districts, combined. As Kurzick, it's only one district, but it's packed. There's just more Kurzicks waiting to play than Luxons.

Anet is biased towars Luxons, they purposely make sure that most of the Kurzicks don't get a game so they can't win back their territory. /endsarcasm

Was Luxon and recently changed to Kurzick and find the wait in Kurzick is considerably more. I always thought there was many more Luxons to Kurzicks but I was obviously wrong. Im guessing as an extra factor that is mentioned is when the lines are far across into Luxon/Kurzick more people cruise into AB's to push the lines back/slightly easier faction. I like the fact that the line now sweeps widely across the board but I don't like the wait. Taking the rough with the smooth I suppose

When a map favors a side, let's say Grenz, then a lot more Kurzicks come to play because they want the easier faction. As soon as it goes over to the Luxon side, the roles seem to reverse, all the players who want easy faction, don't play, leaving only the more hardcore AB players. So as the player pool grows exponentially depending on the side, the longer you have to wait in line.
