Hello.
Well, as many other players, I'm experiencing crash problems. But I couldn't really find any suitable answers up to now.
So, let's explain.
Whenever I try to sell something to the merchants, I crash.
After entering the HoH, I crash. (about one or two minutes after we enter the first zone )
I also crashed while trying to run a friend trough Ascalon's Foothills.
Crashed while doing Elona's reach approximatively in the middle of the first zone, with the minotaurs. But I obviously never crashed while farming the zone alone.
Also, once my computer restarts, trying to connect to the game will result in the game crashing at the end of the load time.
So if anyone have any idea of what makes my computer crash this way...
Thanks :P

Try running Stressprime 2004 for few hours and see if it produces any errors. You can also try Memtest86+..
Should clear out any memory/motherboard/CPU related problems. If those pass OK, then try updating or downgrading video card drivers, and see if the game continues to crash.

I had the same problem and it was the power supply. Older power supplies will not be at 100% efficiency so they may not be providing enough power to keep your machine going. Once you start GW, the system will start using more power and crash/reboot if there isn't enough.
This is a good article on power supplies and how to pick one. It's an older article but for the most part it has good info.

Try stripping your machine of any extra hardware that isn't really neccessary: CD-roms, extra hard drives, sound card, disconnect USB devices, etc. If the game runs consistantly stable, then it is the PSU.
Hope this helps you narrow down your problem.

Hmmm, The most likely one to happen is the Power supply.

sure you can always give sugestions wich is handy but some times you need to know for sure

Still gotta test some things.
Re-installed the game first, then I'll do a defrag. Anyway, I'm sure it's not cause of my power supply.
I mean, I have this computer since a whole year now, as well as Guild Wars, and I never had such problems before.
Once everything on my computer will be cleaned up, I'll check everything you told me too.
Thanks already
EDIT : I just so damn suck I couldn't find how to downgrade my graphic driver...
Also wondering if thoses torture tests are really safe...Just don't wanna kill my computer.
Here is my config, too.
AMD Athlon XP 2000+ 1.67 GHz
512 Mo Ram
Nvidia GeForce FX 5200.
If you need more informations, let me know ^^

Can we get the crash log?
Or a specific Error message your getting?
I am runing the GEForce FX 5200,with 512 RAM, but a Pent 4 2.8ghrz processor, and have only had one crash of GW (ever), and that was because of LiteStep crashing on me :L

For some reasons, GW seems to run better. I guess the defrag helped, even if no GW-related file was fragmented.
So well, thanks alot for all the help you gave me, and sorry.
