I'd like to see the statistics for how many players have no character at atleast lv. 20. Less than 1%?
This event is rediculous. Why do this when you could double Ecto and Shard drops and make atleast half your playerbase happy?

Meh..I blew all my money on scrolls last week..Ill miss all but a couple hours of the event anyway. This *is* useful for me, because my Mes has a whopping...2 skill points atm. :/
But yeah, this does seem rather anticlimatic after the 2x fame and 6man HoH extended event..but its hard to follow that.
..Unless there was an event where everyone was turned into a decent human being with patience and tolerance. I'm not going to hold my breath on that one..

hmm... factions already takes care for skill points by having 1,000+ xp quests that are too easy. my ranger started factions with 3 skill points now she has about 50+.

i think this is a good idea for an event, but it has really bad timing. by bad timing i mean that most people have level 20's by now.
i more appropriate time for such an event for double xp would be the first or second weekend when nightfall comes out when most players will have a new toon to level up.

I would also make a challange here, who find the "double fun" in this event will get a candy cane ^^
My turn: fun 1: listening to winamp while playing trought the same area of lvl 10 monsters to get 100xp out of em whith +3xp scrolls; 2. chatting in the alliance channel while that horde of lvl 10 charrs kills themselfs for your Gladiator Defense and you get 48290348029384xp whithi your scrolls.

I think the next weekend has to be Double Lag Weekend... the preparations have been going on for a while now.

Scrolls and Survivor doesn't really count. When you start a new character in Cantha and do a few quests you automatically get some Monastery Credits. Everyone of those can be exchanged for a scroll so ever since you've started your character you'll allways have enough scrolls to go 24/7 under th einfluence of experience boost.
So yes, count me in as one of those that regards this event as absolutely pointless and of no use. Yet i've still got to say it is better than nothing, it's just nothing for me (and probably a lot others by the looks of it).

when I opened guild wars this morning, it took an extra 20 seconds to open, I knew there was a new update. It finally loads to reveal the dredded yellow text on the right hand side of the screen. I have suddenly started heavier lagging, and the update hasn't happened yet.

man oh man......anerf is jumping the shark now. Double scroll weekend? Sheesh, that just means I get twice as many 100 gp blue scrolls, and rare scrolls will probably halve in value, so those won't change.

edit: someone a page or so back mentioned that there's been a scroll drop increase already. I noticed the same last night farming bosses. Way more than usual. However there was an identical and opposite effect on gold scroll prices.

Don't really care about scrolls as I've never used them. They still seem like the pet project of some Anet bigwig instead of a well thought out game mechanic.

"Double your fun" conjures images of making all leavers and arrogant n00bs declare themselves as such before entering a PUG, not getting some extra XP or a tiny bit more cash.
Getting the silly hats and odd items are the only decent idea they have come up with. Everything else seems to change the economy or be a little disappointing :/

Personally, I'm happy with this weekend. I desperately need more skill points on one of my characters and having scrolls last longer will speed things up a bit and save me money. Although many people may find this weekend less exciting than others, it still does have a practical purpose that will benefit certain players. Not everyone is going to like every single weekend and not every weekend will benefit every player.

I only get to play in the weekends (what with real life interfering and all,) and the events make sure my playing experience is painful. It is disconnect hell. Have both Prophecies and Factions but not planning on buying Nightfall until I can get through a weekend without a 007.
