GC presentation video

Just a heads up: German fansite Onlinewelten have a large (120MB) video available for download of a presentation given at Games Convention by German NCsoft community representative Martin Kerstein (in English):

The video isn't excatly mindblowing, but still nice. It shows characters creation, the new professions, scenery, the new poison screen effect, and one of those new traps.

I want that 999 damage cheat. I tried /iddqd, but it doesn't work. Damn!

That character creation screen looks quite hot

Looking at it, I don't think I'm gonna mind the new damage display. Kinda cool actually.

The poison screen will be a bit annoying though.

The background for the character selection looks nice.

It's actually quite a shame for the new scenery, like factions, if it's not in your face, you'll miss awesome areas in a blink.

Whenever I click that link I get redirected to some random front page. The one time that I clicked it and it took me to a download page, I pressed download and it exploded since I wasn't allowing pop-ups from the site...

Seriously, am I the only one having utter chaos with this download? It got to 7% all of the sudden and then starts saying that it's done downloading. Which it's not. It opens up a winrar thing with a message saying "unexpected end to archive" and as expected when I try and extract this incomplete archive, it says there are corruptions and errors that make the operation impossible.

I can't try and re-download it either because when I press the download button again it just reopens the incomplete corrupted zip file. Am I supposed to do anything but click the download button after I follow that link? What's the "bewerten" button all about above the download button? It looks to just be a vote for how good your download experience was or something. I voted Schlect once because that's what my download experience was, but I haven't done anything with it after? I've deleted my temporary internet files to get rid of the corrupt zip file but I'm afraid it'll just do it again once I redownload to 7.71MB

How is it no one else has any problems with this download. It would be enough if the download was just slow as ass but it's failing completely for me? What am I doing wrong with this silly download? I got the video: 5 min download, 114 Mb, 7:50 minutes of video. Just went to the link, pressed download and chose save file as, and voila!

I dont know if i can upload it here or somewhere so you can download it, but if thats possible tell me, i would be glad to share the video.

My opinion:

0. The cheat is 999 dmg signet with zero cast and zero recharge, +10 health and energy regen. Can you cap it from the Outcast Boss? jk
1. I like the landscape and the details of the environment, including the water effect and the smooother movement of your character. Just wow!
2. I really hate the new poison effect that turns the whole screen green.
3. The trap thing, announced as a new thing, already exists in Sorrows Furnace. However having it in a mission is quite interesting.
4. Confirmed: 3 heroes, and you will find each one of them separately and in certain points of the story. The heroes the presentator had were a female dervish and a female paragon.

for the people waiting/unable to download:

the trap is a smasher trap- same as in Sorrow's Furnace. Hopefully this will not be the extent of their marketing of 'o noes trapz mg'.

even on the low quality video capture we see some nice visuals tho.

and I thought I read on another german site that the Poison Effect ppl are talking about is just related to a monster skill hex... it looks like it cripples the person too (but obviously no one knows for sure)

not much is shown on the character creation screen- the guy really shoulda shown more of the hair/faces... that and the skin color combined with the capture method really leaves no room for details to be seen

Anyone else think the presenter reminded them of Governor Arnold? I expected him to ask the player "Who is your daddy and what does he do?"

Confused... I downloaded this just fine (~5 minutes), but when I tried to unpack it, the file was corrupted. Any ideas?

Well the download is starting at a good speed usually, it starts real fast but diminishes really fast. The times I've tried it it goes down to either 24.8 or 9.45KB/s. Even though it's saying these two speeds, I don't think it's actually going that fast. Perhaps it has to do with location. I'm on the West Coast of America, where are the ppl who aren't having good fast download speeds, East Coast or Europe?

Edit: Oh and I found a low quality version of this video on googlevideo. I'd still like to get my hands on the full quality one though. Here's the link to the low quality googlevideo one for those who are having d/l issues like me.

That means the file didn't download completely. You're probably having the same issue as most people here. The file starts and finishes too quickly.

Well i think you can use filefront.com if you wanted to. Not sure if the video would be too huge. You've gotta set up a free account so I don't know if you want to go through all that trouble, but it'd be nice if you could.

Mine's screwed too, though it did have a good speed and I thought it downloaded just fine.
I'm on the west coast as well.

A link to an uncorrupted file would be nice.
