How do you deal with only 4 character slots?

I mean i just bought the game yesterday i had originally a Hunter/Mesmer combo. Then i found out you can still have pets and be hunter secondary(which is all i really wanted from the hunter) so.......

I created what I like to call the He-Man build (Yes I am a dork). This is a Warrior primary with Hunter Secondary. So i tamed my battlecat and we do heavy damage together. Lots of fun actually. Strength/Swordsmanship/BeasMastery.

But now I want to creat a 55hp monk as well as a Paladin build.

So thats:
1) He-Man (Warrior/Ranger)
2) 55HP Monk (Monk/Warrior)
3) Paladin (Warrior/Monk)

To be honest Warrior was my least liked class in WOW. Doesn't show i know.

I also want to have Necromancer primary and a Elementalist Primary.

How do you balance all the cool different builds with only 4 damn slot?

I mean if you delete someone you'll have to start from level 0 if you want them back right?

Decisions Decisions!

Umm, i suggest ya delete the younger of your warriors (probably the Paladin).
Why ?
'Cause later in the game (Crystal Desert for Prohesies and Senji's Corner for Factions) you can change your secondary proffesion.

As for the questions.....

1. Most of us have 6+ slots =P (4 + 2 for having two chapters, more if they bought slots in the online store)

2. Yup, if ya delete a character you'll have to start over from scratch.
P.S. Don't bother leaving customized weapons and/or armor in storage and making a char with the same name to equip them, it doesn't work.

Of course everybody knows that. Ummmm but in case someone else here doesn't. Do you have to redo the quests or relearn skills etc... If you drop a profession?

Or can i unlearn hunter then relearn it and not lose a beat. Except for the retaming of a pet.

Thanks.

If you change your secondary, you won't be able to use the secondary's skills, but you won't "forget" them, just change back to be able to use them again
And you don't lose your pet either, it's "tied" to the charm skill, and the only way to get rid of it, is to talk to the pet tamer.

Like Skuld said, you only need one Warrior and then when you want to use a different build, switch his secondary. If you really want more characters, I suggest you either buy more slots for 10 bucks each, or buy Factions so you get two more slots and more content.

You can purchase and link one of the new chapters and that will give you 2 new slots or buy more slots from the online store. Once you are far enough in the game you can change your secondary as many times as you want without losing anything. Unless you want 2 warrior characters.

Changing secondaries has no negative effects.

Or you can get the Nightfall pre-release pack and Nightfall, those will give you 3 extra characters, though you would have to wait a while.

Or alternatively you could always just buy more character slots from the online store.

Pah, who needs guilds?

IMO I'd recommend getting 1 or 2 of your characters through prof, before you start worrying about 3rd and 4th character classes. Then see what works best for you. besides, nightfall's out next month and you can always create a character there

Give the guy a break, he has only been playing GW for a day. It takes time to get used to the new names and terminology.

Still he should get the point by now this is not remotely comparable to WoW.

Make one char and play the game, then consider what to do next.

you have no need for a 55hp monk at this time so get rid of that..learn how to play the game then make a farming char

No 55 monk right now, just work on the campaign. Also, delete the "Paladin" (aka W/Mo). Now, get your W/R and go through the game. Eventually, in the desert, you will be able to switch secondaries, though I used a similar W/R build when I first started and it worked out fine.

This is not WoW please refer to the professions in terms of GW like R/Mes as from what I know the professions play out differently.I wouldn't play a 55 Monk untill you learn how to play the role very well and if you play the same counterpart in WoW it is way different in GW as it is more competive so you might not want to play it and a W/Mo can do the same or W/Mes aswell.I am not sure if anyone mentioned this to you but you can buy more slots in store.
I want to reinterate don't make a 55 monk untill you beat the game got all your skills and elites and then do some group work at Sorrows Furnace or the Temple of Ages.Learn how to kite as well.
