Can't Mod my Bow

Hey guys, i tried modding my bow with a crippling string, but nothing would show. i mean, it would say "weapon upgraded with crippling bowstring" but it wouldn't actually show it on the screen (It wouldn't say Crippling Eternal Bow of Fortitude, just Eternal Bow of Fortitude). I'm not too sure how to prove this but i've tried modding this bow twice at different time intervals with no result.

Anet is nerfing Cripshot rangers.

Shoot I had a bow that I put a barbed string on that disappeared later. I upgraded it again with a 5/-1 vamp string and it said nothing about replacing a mod.

Contacted support, but they gave a vague reply anout it taking a long time for them to fix >< ...

does the stat change tho?!

say for eg, does it change to "lengthens cripple duration by 20%" ?!

edit: maybe anet secretly installed a failure rate for modding weapon?!

I experienced the same problem yesterday:

Had a Poisonous Recurve Bow and added a Crippling Bow String.

I saw the warning which asked me to confirm if I really wanted to upgrade the bow with said string which would destroy my existing string. I confirmed.

Result: It removed the Bow String from the Bow completely.



I just tried to upgrade it with various Bow Strings, Poisonous and Fiery work just fine, seems like only the Crippling Bow String is giving troubles

There's a random bug in applying chapter two strings to chapter one bows.

Does random bug mean that if I keep trying to apply a c2 string to that Recurve, it will stick to it eventually?

I don't know. I've heard of one person having no luck with twice consecutively, and a few others with one string then not bothering after. If it were my bow, I'd wait until I read a fix for it in one of the updates.

Well, after another try without luck I might just wait for the fix. Thanks for the information.
