So I was trying to save up for FoW armour. Until I finally realized FoW armour is actually pretty darn expensive so I gave up on the idea. Since then I've had a good deal of gold I wasn't quite sure what to do with. But I've decided now to use all my gold on this little contest I'm setting up! Yay!

The rules are simple. I want you to draw my mesmer, Sanra Sprinkleworth. I've put up some screenshots of my mesmer in 2 outfits, you choose outfit and make any drawing whatsoever. A drawing of her talking politics with a charr, or a drawing of her beating a wammo with a stick, or whatever you could think of.

I'd like to encourage everybody to join the contest, even those who can't draw! When the contest is over, I'll give the gold to whoever I think is best... even if that somehow ends up being a crude stick figure drawing of Sanra.

I don't mind people taking a bit of liberty with the interpretation of the rules. If you prefer to make a photoshopped picture instead of a drawn one, go right ahead. If you despise the 2 Sanra outfits and prefer to draw her wearing a Darth Vader suit, then go right ahead. (although, one would need a pretty darn good explanation of why she's using a Darth Vader suit :s)

Me and my guild will be judging the pictures as the contest is over and after a few days I'll create a new thread announcing the winners. I'll be judging based on how good the drawings looks and how entertaining the drawings are. So if you're limited to drawing rather crude stick figures then making a humourous picture is definitely the way to go :s d

And I don't mind multiple contest entries from one person, although only one of those entries will be considered for a contest prize.

When submitting pictures, just post them in this thread. Use www.imageshack.us if you're not sure where to upload your picture.

Well, I really wouldn't call my contest spec work. I'm just holding this contest for fun, I don't have an ulterior motive of ripping off artists and using their artwork for commercial purposes.

Aight, I've entered this challenge, but as I suck at drawing, I've made some wallpapers! (only thing I'm decently good at xD)
Hope you'll accept that too, it might be good for a 3rd price (or 7th)...
I've made several, with different backgrounds and styles.
If you like em, even if I don't win, I can send you the high res 1024x768 versions of them (for a small fee in gold). But first of all I just hope one of them wins this contest, and if I'm one of the first 3, I'll send all of em to you anyway, cuz then it'll have been worth it

No, he gets a lot of pictures, and he pays 7 of them. Read the OP man.
Secondly, people can always choose to show a preview low-res sample here like I did.
Third and lastly, it's people's own free choice to compete.

The guy wants a few pictures drawn, and offers a reward to the 7 best. I think that's fair. And it brings a lot of creativity to the forum, which I think is a good thing.

Oh psh, these sorts of contests have been done in other types of forums, art forums, they are very popular. Infact it draws out alot of people who wouldent normally want to be 'commissioned' in the first place as theres no preassure and alot of room for personal creativity. People who *need* to be paid for their work wont enter in the first place, and I personally think they are alot of fun.
