If I preoder it (on amazon), am I garanteed to get one of the first copies?

Hell, last year, the CE was delayed for many people, who ordered online or not.*

I personally want to see the game with my own two eyes, so I'll be buying it at a brick and morter store. But, since the games goes live on the October 27, I wonder will people who bought the pre-release be able to play it for a few days without the retail code?

In any case, if you buy the game on the Guild Wars store, I would think that would be as close to a guarantee of being the first as it gets.

*EDIT: As Kinghtsaber points out below, I doubt this will be the case for Nightfall. Just wanted to used an example of "things beyond our control."

oh well, as long as I get nightfall I'll be happy lol. I don't wanna feel like what I did before I got factions, hearing so many people talk about how good it was, seeing FACTIONS in big letters at the top of my screen, when making a character, seeing the factions option greyed out and so on.

Gaile has stated that she hasn't yet seen any intraoffice memos mentioning any early access for prerelease bonus pack people, but maybe it'll be announced later. If you buy Nightfall from the ingame store you should get instant access, if you buy it from the plaync store, I'd expect you'd have it pretty soon. Gaile has promised that the Nightfall CE wont be delayed like Factions
