New items and spells

I'm just wondering if Arena Net adds new items and spells and things like that to Guild Wars like other MMO's add things in small updates and patches?

They just added some new skins for weapons in Cantha in a patch a few weeks ago. They only add new skills with new campaigns, though some times they patch existing skills to nerf them and what not.

I have only seen skills added in new campaigns (factions, nightfall).
They do add new weapons sometimes like the new totem axe and the other greens added awhile back. They also throw an event at us from time to time (lately it has been almost every weekend) that adds new stuff or doubles good drops or XP gain, stuff like that.

Plus the special events where you can get pumpkin head, santa, dragon and other collectible hats, as well as other things that are primarily just for fun.

Well that sounds awesome! I'm used to MMOs like WoW and DAoC and whatnot. So far this game is great.

Just yesterday I found a new earth staff skin, well atleast I think it is. I'll try to post a picture, when I get home from work. Its mostely a silver/black staff with a square head with resembling a rune on it.
