I wanted to change my password of my GuildWars account (this is NOT the playNC account)

I used my mail adress as my accountname (@hotmail.com)

Normally when I did this, you just have to fill in your password and then the password you want to change into, but now it gives me a link to the playNC site where I need to login...

I think this is a bug, because I got GuildWars 2 years and never had this thingy.

As far as I know, you have to associate your game account with a plaync account and from your plaync master account, you can then reset your password. But once you combine it with a plaync account, you can't change your login name for the game (the email).

I've never made a playNC account, I just tried to make one and link it with my guildwars account but this is impossible, you can't link an existing (hotmail) account to a playNC account.

I tried to link this but didn't work, always said that key was already in use... deuh I know this, I just need to know how to link it then.

There is something wrong with it, and if its working properly then they should work on making it easier to understand.

The way you link it is by loggin in and clicking the ingame store. Before it will allow you to view the ingame store, it forces you to link it with an existing plaync account (you don't have to buy anything or anything).

Yes, this is not a bug I don't think, once you enter the store it prevents you from modifying your email or password, may be a security feature.

You can try to log a ticket with support.

Please use the search feature, as there are countless threads about this.

As this is not something we can help with I will close this now
