09/08/06 server outage

AHHHHH! The Sky is falling!

Can't get back in here either.

From what I could see, a few guildies disconnected while others were unaffected, some disconnected again but could log in to complain, then I disconnected, was able to log in to the login screen a few times, but bailed when I tried to pick a character. Then I couldn't get in at all.

Possibly one server went down, which led to a cascade to the other servers when people tried to log back in again.

I'm getting this too. Looks like ANet's gonna be dragging some people out of bed or out of bars

hey i got an idea...everyone stops announcing they all have been kicked and maybe get someone who knows anything about this leave a post...

I think Yuna might have had it right. They might be adding new store items, seems their store is really really buggy.

Yup, can't get it to work either. Err58 when I want to connect, and err7'd a few times in-game. Had terrible chat-lag all week. My guildies also had problems with err7 and chat lag tonight...

It's hard to say definitively what's causing the problem, other than a server crash. Likely ANet will have it up as soon as possible, but you gotta give them some credit - for a game that's up nearly all of the time, they don't have a bad track record. It's up way more than other MMO's *coughWoWcough*.

It's safe to say it happened to everyone. My group had just gotten into HoH when the "outage" occurred.

My group got it too! We were clearing the underworld!!! I didn't get to pick up my ecto that had just dropped!!! No more double my fun weekends please.... 2 error codes 7 in a row.... double my errors weekend?

Because GW people are boreing, poeple suck and the whole world is in a quickening downward spiral into the dark abyss. maybe they are just crashing the american, european and korean servers so that taiwan or japan can get favor
