Voice Comunication

How many people that everytime they go to ha or stuff, always gets on vent or ts? Wouldnt it be so much easier with voice?

I suggest you check out this thread.
It's an interview of some dev from GwChina.

Definitely been discussed at great length before:
Personally, ts works fine and I don't see why they should work a voice program into the game itself

I think working a in game voice system is a very important equallity issue. TS has to be served by someone in order to run, so it isn't an all access function, and I haven't even DL vent.
Point being, third party systems have their limitations and arn't readily available to every player, yet they are often choice points in parties, expecially important ones, and significant advantage points over someone who doesn't have it.
I have been told that Jeff explained in on of his interviews that Anet would rather leave voice communication to third party systems, it is simple to see why, they would have to pump out more hardward and bandwidth to make this available. All I can say is, we have a nifty online store, how about selling us something that actually takes and investment instead of releasing "unlock" packs for PvP. Players can pay for it, and with intergrated party and personal chat functions, it would be more useful than switching onto private channels for certain and limited parties.
This could be added to a certain expansion, and/or seperately in the online store for a reasonable price. Probably the most significant concern is the alternate use as a communication service which could be abused, and although providing online internet calling isn't very expensive, it could require a monthly cost, which certainly doesn't belong in GW.
Perhaps this isn't something that Anet can or will do, but it certainly has advantages over TS or vent, and it is certainly welcome as well.

The truth itself

Prophecies is old, and need improvements.
Your argument is flawed.
Built-in voice communication would make communicating while in combat a lot easier. It also stops a lot of fiddling with parties setting up vent/ts.

people already bitch about the lag in this game, can you imagine what would happen if they started including Voice?
I'd only want voice if you could block people in your group. Last thing I want is some 12 year old idiot yelling racial slurs in my ear. (ever played anything on Xbox live?)
