My friend and I have been developing a UW duo build and have managed to solo alot of the areas. We wanted to be able to get Spiders for our guild members but have been unable to complete this quest. Is there an easier Spider giving quest? We haven't explored much but can clear the starting area, the Ice place, and get to the Reaper of the Forgotten Vale and do Escort the Souls.

If it's the 'Wrathful Spirits' quest, there's a trick where you don't kill one group of Grasping Darknesses. As the good spirits spawn when you kill the Grasping Darknesses, you leave one group alone so they do not spawn.
Once you have killed all the bad spirits (even if all the good ones die), kill the remaining Grasping Darknesses and bingo, quest completed.

for spirit bond build, you cant tank them. you will die right away. IW wont trigger your spirit bond. only one way to kill them;
wand, soj wont do too good as your partner wont survive that long. a lot easier way to get a spider is to do servants of grenth. shouldnt have a problem with survivng as long as oyu SPAM ps and sb for the start, and DO NOT (DONT!!) activate spellbreaker. else they WILL wand you to death, so dont mind the meteor shower, its very duoable.
also, if the smiter goes with SS, thats better than soj, but whatever floats your boat. gl
oh and heh, rebirth on the tanker? sorry but if the holy smiter dies..rofl, forget him and find a new partner that knows how to stay back.

What I do to finish that quest is (im the SB tank), drop rebirth for Healing Breeze, do your run as normal until you have freed the reaper of the forgotten vale, then switch to a set of 55 armor, and use PS/HB to tank the wrathful's. Retri/Holy Wrath wont damage them, so have your partner use SoJ. Gl with your spider.

Meh, imo then SS/SV + a 55 Monk is still better for spider capping.. Just take Sbond instead of blessed sig on the Monk and he can tank infinet smiters.. Also Its more fun to SS/Sv than stand around doing duck all.. That thats just my opinion :P

Soj doesnt damage them because they 'miss', bring chillblains then no more IW
