File Name

each time i change the file name to .png or something else it sill doesnt let me put it in my gallerys even though its small enough.i change the file name when i put save as i put gw40.png if there is a way u can help plz reply.ty.

double check the dimensions of the pic and the file size. That's about all I can say.

uuuhm.... are you changing the NAME or are you CONVERTING the pic?

Because changing the name will only change the name... NOT the "compression" technic of the picture

Right on.

Now, if you were just changing the name of the file extension and not converting it, a simple solution would be to just drag the file into Microsoft Paint or it's equivilant, then Save As a .png file (or whichever you please). Of course, you could get a file converting program, but I find that the Paint process to be more newbie friendly.

i go to save as and put gw040.png and it still deosnt work. the program i use is ms paint

GIMP is an awsome program if you need to do the same things you can do with PS without the price tag.

But, ya its a bit much just to do image type conversions.
