I usually farm all the Avicara on the way there (except groups with Wise/Guile), and also the Giants, which is one thing I like about the build... I can clear out alot of mineral springs. I'll list my build and then explain why I'm asking for tips on how to improve it.
1) Excecutioner's Strike/any axe or sword attack
2) Power Attack/any axe or sword attack
3) "Watch Yourself"
4) Dolyak Signet
5) Healing Hands
6) Live Viscariousity
7) Balthazar's Spirit
8) Sprint
Farming the Avicara and Giants are a joke, no problems there. I don't bother with boss/wise + guile mobs, simply not worth it. The problem I'm having is being interrupted while trying to cast HH, thanks to Maelstrom.
I try to walk out of maelstrom range and quickly cast HH once outside it's range, but this is easier said than done. Especially with Mind Freeze and 8+ imps spamming them everywhere you go... Now, I *have* cleared the cave before (minus the ice beasts), but only when there are thin spawns with few imps. With large amounts its just a matter of time before I get interrupted once, and then its all over.
So, my thoughts are this: There are only three skills that I can think of that a warrior can use for continous self-healing. The three that come to mind are-
1) Healing Sig with a w/me set up. - Sure sound great, unfourtunately Seige Golems spawn occassionaly... rust pretty much makes that build out of the question
2) Healing Hands - Works, but it is no way realiable and realies on very careful timing and a bit of luck...
3) "ViM" - I see no way I could really spread enough conditions around, with being slowed 90% most of the time, to make "ViM" a realistic heal in this area.
So, I'm looking for any adivise on how to make this build more reliable and also keep it a one man job. Like I said it *does* work, but the chances of getting inerrupted are very high, and you can't afford to miss a HH.
Tips on IDS solo? (Warrior)

HariTec
I have done this a number of ways. The way I do ids runs now is faster at killing but a bit risky. I take healing to 10 and strength to 13 (11+2), rest to sword (10+1+1) or (10+1+3) depending on how my health is doing.
Sentinels armor with knights gloves (duelist helm when fighting, lieutenants helm when running)
Core Skills
Sprint
Dolyak Signet
Defy Pain
Mending
Live Vicariously
Three option slots - right now I go all attacks
Sever artery
Galrath Slash (not gash cause I want to damage the shadows too)
Silverwing Slash
I can clear avicari fierce and braves (try to not get two groups). Giants are easy. Imps go well most of the time but if two large groups they are troublesome and sometimes I die. I have to go REALLY slow when fighting the shadows - aggro more than two at a time and sometimes die.
Another alternative that I have used is to put only 8 into healing and the points left over into protection - toss in shielding hands - cast from behind dolyak to protect you and get health up. Use a zealous sword sometimes (fiery sword of warding is best most of the time) to get energy up for shieilding hands. You try to cast shielding as soon as the combat starts. If it casts ( ie not interrupted) you stay at full health for that extra while. If it gets interrupted, you have enough time for it to recharge so you can try it again. Basically cast it whenever you can and when there are lots of imps.
I have also done it while getting rid of the sentinels armor and the need for high strength. Drop healing to 8 and strength to 10 or 11 (want it to be reasonably high for longer dolyaks and spring and gain from defy). Put leftovers into tactics. Pull out two attacks and just keep sever artery. Add in healing sig and watch yourself. This build is much slower at killing imps but you can add more armor in and add another heal. Use healing sig behind dolyaks+deyf+watch yourself.
I did the run with guy who used no attack skills, he put endure in where I have sever arter in the previous paragraph. He was painfully slow to kill the imps, but pretty much invincible. I died and he slowly munched through imps - it was like watching paint dry.

I didn't consider Defy pain... I'll test your build out on the imps outside Ghrotto.
