Ah, the Runner, how many of them have been made? This is my W/N take on it. Tell me what ya think?

14 Tactics
12 Swordmanship
11 Strength

Deadly Riposte
Shield Bash
Deflect Arrows
Healing Signet
Charge {E}
Balanced Stance
Sprint
Plague Touch

With these stats, you can keep Charge {E} and Sprint up indefinitely, as expected, and things like cripple, bleeding, poison, and flying arrows won't stop ya. I've found that those slow-hexes like Imagined burden can be withstood through their duration, then u can just run away again.

I noted someone using Defensive Stance during a run and I wondered if Deflect Arrows would be the better bet. [since DS doesn't stop KD like Balanced stance does and doesn't synergize too well with the 2 stances already in place.

Suggested Armor: Legionarre's, easily...

Thoughts? Ideas? I've used this to run the Forge only twice but most of the runs with this can be done as desert tour guide.

Why are you using a weapon and stuff? Are you running somewhere then fighting stuff?

Is this a runner that contemplates having to stop and fight every once in a while?

Why do you put points in Swordsmanship? I'm assuming you use deadly riposte, shield bash and stuff to block enemies, not actually intending to kill them. The sword points could probably be somewhere else I think.

This looks more like a crappy sword build then a running build.

So, if you get crippled you walk up to the enemys and use Plague touch ? >_>

Shield bash + Deadly Riposte, and Points to Sword? O.o tf, aint it a running build?

Btw, Being able to run to Forge aint showing that a build is good, ive done it with Charge, Balanced + Heal sig.. rest was free..

I put points into sword cause well, there's nothing else to points into that I think needs points...

Do I fight? Yes, when I'm crippled + hexed and can plague touch the cripple off of me. Then I run again, does that count as fighting?

The other skills have 'block' in their description, thank you for catching that.

I'd actually consider Plague Sending and dump points into curses [wait, does it need curses?] to AoE cripple any melee mobs chasing me...

Right now, nobody is saying anything other than "why are you putting points into swordsmanship"? If you're so smart, why not tell me what else you'd use points for?

Max Tactics and Strength? I suppose so... Sword dmg isn't affected when using the Ripostes, Riposte is listed dmg all the time...

What would be a good Necro setup to 'last' when the running could get tough, I suppose this build comes to mind then at 0 swordsmanship...

11 blood magic instead of swordsmanship

Shield Bash - block hamstring or other cripple style attacks, kd pursuer
Deflect Arrows - doesn't overlap stances, works well with charge+balanced
Healing Signet - when you just managed to escape
Charge {E} - dur*
Balanced Stance - no Wurm trouble / Gale, etc.
Sprint - running build?
Plague Touch - when melee mobs catch up to you and you're crippled/bleeding/etc.
Demonic Flesh - a LOT of hp to work with before running heavily fortififed area
[optional] - Blood Renewal, could be better should it get stripped, faster recycle than Demon Flesh too...

Through no help of the previous posters, I've managed to pull this one off, can someone please post some helpful info and prove to me that I'm not surrounded by idiots who think they help by calling it a 'useless' swordsman build and try to you know, help someone who's NEVER done run builds before?

Dump all points in swordsmanship into str/tactics which will make all your skills better.

help someone who's NEVER done run builds before? If you've never ran before, it's pretty stupid to attempt to make a build. WHy don't you seach around the forum for some running builds and learn how to run?

Plague sending does not need curses to cast and be effective.

Blood Renewal is good, but you sac 25% of max life.

Remember, Sprint is removed when you use a different stance, but you can use a stance with Charge.

Shield Bash and Deflect Arrows are not always useful. Unless you know the monsters will be using Arrows or a Warrior Skill, they are useless. Hexes (Ice Prison, etc.) unfortunately will stop you so other monsters can attack you. Being a warrior, you are not blessed with lots of energy nor energy regeneration. Keep that in mind when spaming energy runs.

Warry Stance may be a nice change instead of Deflect Arrows.

I would switch over to W/Mo or even W/R but fo the most part most are W/Mo .Look at this thread to get a good idea of a Runner.

Cant say i agree with the idea running / fighting / running/ fighting. Maybe with a little modification it would work, but no point sacrificing 12 points in swords on a running build. Try the bold forge run build, it gets me anywhere really, and i can edit things for different runs
