i need a good illusion offhand for shiroken farming and this was the one i liked
then i also saw on canthan green weapon pricing that they go for 25-35k and that they are very sought after
i was just wondering if there was a build to solo deeproots sorrow in mourning viel falls

I snuck around there yesterday with my solo-monk, but it was a no-go. Way too many forms of degen/damage. I'll poke around a bit more with the ranger.

Yah, Mourning Veil Falls (aka degen of doom). I was wondering if MelechRic would be sneaking around down there for a new spirit bond offhand. I checked it out a few days ago as well, and it did not look pleasant (for soloing at least). The only thing I can think of would be some type of solo tank, but I'm not sure which one would have enough defense to counter the degen. If one could get a spirit bonder down there with enough aggro... I'll have to look again as well...

Deeproot's mob is highly problematic. You've got to contend with a few things:

1. Deeproot's massive degen.
2. Deeproot's slowing hex (makes it tough to close as a touch ranger or touch necro)
3. Kirin and their damnable Barbs which sneaks in under Spirit Bond.

These are all a major disaster for either a touch ranger, spirit-bonder or 55hp build.

This is what you're facing just from Deeproot.

* Ancestor's Visage
* Conjure Nightmare
* Ether Feast
* Shared Burden (Elite)
* Signet of Disruption
* Unnatural Signet

I went in with the Shiro'ken build and didn't fair too well. I have a feeling the new Assassin/Elementalist build would be able to take this guy down...

It is easy to solo as a 55hp monk usual spirit bond set up, take sv and iw . Can take an while for a kill however and if sv is interupted he will heal himself to nearly full health. But hey it can be done. Already killed him about 20 times no drop as yet.
