? I can help you out as a new character, and guide you around and stuff. Drop me a pm when you pick up GW on "Minyona Mastier" or "Mike Kappel" oh and make sure you tell me your from the GwG forums as a new player, otherwise I'll call you a noob and tell you to leave me alone.

Or wait, did you just get prophecies? Or are you getting Factions only?

Oh yeah! dantheman23312 would be an impossible name, names have to be two words or more, and no numbers allowed.

I'm just going to say that most people prefer Prophecies; and the third campaign goes live in a little more than a month. Just something to think about.

Factions is good too; but it may give you a misleading impression of the series to start there.

hey dan, your new best friend will be this site www.guildwiki.org but as a answer to your questions

1. Is there single player mode?
No, how ever the game can be played with no other human interaction (using the henchmen and NPC traders to buy stuff)

2. Can you do quests with friends, otehr people?
Yes, you can do any quest, any time with any friend, however you'll only get the reward once(with an exception for those small amount of repeatable ones) and if you have beaten it before you have to make sure you friend has the quest in his quest list ( L key if i'm not mistaken)

3. Do you think i did the wrong choice?
No, i really don't, factions and propehcies are both essentially a good game to start with, however factions probably is a better choice for you, because it gets into the game faster, you don't have to worry about being halfway through the game and only level 17 because in factions you'll get a good amount of exp for stuff you'll do,

hope that helped >.<

I remember when I actually enjoyed Guild Wars. That was about 1.5 years ago during the times of beta and when the game was actually released I really liked it, even though I was a noob dressed in rainbow colored ringmail ^_^. I hope you have as much fun as I did .

Welcome to GW! You're going to like it here. Be sure to read through the manuals that come with the game so you're not totally lost. There's a lot to learn, so don't be afraid to ask questions.

Newb = Newbie = someone new to the game, so it's not yet to be determined o_O

yes, but he could very well be a n00b, but i doubt it since he i asking for hep and advice.

I love the smell of new Guild Wars manuals, it is very evocative, they have a very distinct smell. Yeah, and factions is a good choice if you want to get into the game quickly, but i would seriously consider buying Prophecies aswell, down the road a bit. And cherish these moments because the early days of playing GW are probably going to be some of your best. It's an exciting world out there, adn you only get to discover it once.

I'm not going to be holding his hand. I'm going to be teaching him the basics on GW (Builds, class advantages/disadvantages, and help him get around. I will restrain myself from MM'ing Shing Jea Island for him.

I'm such a nice person
